stockbunny re: custard etc - not me, definitely yukky.

stockbunny - 28 Jan 2004 15:34 - 3981 of 23498

SnoBall! Good afternoon - pull up a chair and join me in a drink.
I can't moan too much about the male of the species, my two
'baby-bunnies' are lads and I love 'em! But some things like the skin on
custard thing, I just can't fathom....

BTW Amazon have got one of the best books I have read in ages
at a ridiculously low price right now - Adventure Capitalist
by Jim Rogers - completely brilliant, well worth under a tenner
including post and pack...Go on treat yourselves!!!!!!!

Debating whether to go or not, GD. If I do I will take a shovel and boots and coat and tent and survival kit and tins of food and a snowplough and make snoballs! lol!

jeffmack - 28 Jan 2004 20:33 - 3990 of 23498

little willie - 28 Jan 2004 20:58 - 3991 of 23498

watch it teaboy; as one in thirteenth place you might end up in an unlucky situation.

From chillys to lettuce eh?

This_is_me - 28 Jan 2004 21:33 - 3992 of 23498

One large plate of custard skin and rice skin with stewed apple and shortbread please. I am celebrating AHT going 'Per Ardua Ad Astra'

Golddog - 28 Jan 2004 22:06 - 3993 of 23498

I'm back again.

snoball, That's a lot of stuff to take! but dont forget to take a bottle of champers for Littlewoman and Vasey.

jeffmack, Im sure Hilary is just teasing at the moment you know what shes like!!

TIM, Can you break 100k?

Pot of tea for one please and booze for everybody else.
:-)

There will be a free cup of soup for poster 4000! enjoy. (tomatoe)

This_is_me - 28 Jan 2004 23:08 - 3994 of 23498

GD 100k should be passed now that AHT is going up like a lift (no doubt there will be some retracement on the way) and VLX is forming a bullish ascending triangle, I am not sure when NHP will have its next stop for breath, posssibly around 200p.

100k is only a rise of 25%, Im sure others will make it too.

Fanta - 28 Jan 2004 23:49 - 3995 of 23498

stockbunny - 29 Jan 2004 11:39 - 3998 of 23498

SnoBall - Jim Rogers has been an investor for some years, in the 80's
he embarked in a trip around the world to check out the investment
opportunities, this second book (Adventure Capitalist) is a return
journey taken over 3 years around yr.2000

This time he is using a custom built Mercedes, the last time he went
round on a motorbike. He travels through the continents - like up one
side of Africa and down the other, through Siberia and many of the
new countries that were in the old USSR, through places like China,
what was Burma, even South America. He's an American but not a
'flag-waver' if you follow me, he's very opinionated but frankly many
may agree with his outspoken views on things like aid to third world
countries, corruption and the World Bank and debts.

Go on - buy it!!! If you like travel, social/ecomonic commentary,
are into cars, like investment or currency opinion or simply like
to read something outspoken you'll enjoy it I am sure...well I hope...
well I did...Suppose in keeping with
the usual 'rules' on the site I should finish this with saying read
the write up on amazon and the legendary moneyam anthem of DYOR etc!
(lol)
