THE TALK TO YOURSELF THREAD. (NOWT)

goldfinger - 09 Jun 2005 12:25

Thought Id start this one going because its rather dead on this board at the moment and I suppose all my usual muckers are either at the Stella tennis event watching Dim Tim (lose again) or at Henly Regatta eating cucumber sandwiches (they wish,...NOT).

Anyway please feel free to just talk to yourself blast away and let it go on any company or subject you wish. Just wish Id thought of this one before.

cheers GF.

His accountant carries no blame?

Who was advising him??

ExecLine - 14 May 2014 19:08 - 40707 of 81564

Here's a definition of a Neo-Cheat:

A Neo-Cheat is someone who creates a false cause, an untruth or perhaps even a mysticism, so as to then set up what he has created as 'a yardstick', or 'rule' or as 'the norm'. He creates this so as to use it so as to try to win his arguments or gain an advantage over others.
'
Of course, 'Neo-Cheating' is 'cheating' and no one likes being cheated. Neither do they like someone who is a cheat. Unless or until you know what 'neo-cheating' actually is, you'll find the cheating that is being used as being quite hard to detect.

Qn. What is the best way to deal with a Neo-Cheat?
Ans. Dump him. If you challenge him he will merely invent, raise, bring in, use, etc, etc, yet another 'false cause' to try to win his argument with it.

As Goldfinger continues to 'neo-cheat' on here I will try to spot the false causes he uses and point them out to you.

I would guess, that from his quite miserable unhappy attitude, which he illustrates to us on here, he is currently losing quite a lot of money with his trading. If it were otherwise, don't you think he would be quite happy, jovial and altruistically minded towards others?

"...blame his accountant.."

ExecLine - 14 May 2014 19:12 - 40709 of 81564

"... for once you are consistent..."

ExecLine - 14 May 2014 19:17 - 40710 of 81564

"...I hear his tax bill is going to bankrupt him. Sky news monday..."

Totally incorrect. No mention of this possibility, whatsoever:

sticky - going back to post 40690 ......

sorry, but there is no way on earth that it could possibly be more financially advantageous for a guy to commute from wolverhampton to london(brent) than if he had stayed put

there is something seriously wrong with the reporting - e.g. quite possibly a total fake story

aldwickk - 14 May 2014 19:53 - 40712 of 81564

Saga IPO - Is a record breaking flotation imminent? Who's up for it , anybody buying in the grey market as well [ spread bet ]

MaxK - 14 May 2014 20:04 - 40713 of 81564

Saga (aka: Gaga)

It's a dying business.

goldfinger - 14 May 2014 20:06 - 40714 of 81564

Cyners I didnt say it was advantageous, the poor chap said he was having to spend a fortune on train fares. Out of loyalty he wanted to work for his employer.

You see youve hit the nail on the head, its OK IDS just shipping them out of London because of the £25 grand benefit cap, but hes also effectively putting them on the dole.

ps, I hope you dont agree with this idiot execline from advfn and his newspaper biased story.

Chris Carson - 14 May 2014 20:22 - 40715 of 81564

alders - Saga, Cap spreads are quoting sell 243 -273 buy you would have to be insane to bet on a 30 pip spread. If you are new to spread betting stick to blue chips till you get the hang of it.

GF - Been out all day, most of it golfing. Just trawled through the posts, you have surpassed yourself today mate. How to win friends and influence people (not) :O)

doodlebug4 - 14 May 2014 20:24 - 40716 of 81564

Is it a full moon tonight?:-)

goldfinger - 14 May 2014 20:27 - 40717 of 81564

He He LOL.

Ill stick to my theme , at least you get what you expect and not what others think you want to hear.

Its called ingenuine for a lot here. Especialy Cynic.

cynic - 14 May 2014 22:07 - 40718 of 81564

ingenuine .... now that's a new one for the dictionary ... what's it meant to mean?

Haystack - 14 May 2014 22:19 - 40719 of 81564

ingenuine
not yet an actual word. incorrectly used when trying to describe something that is the opposite of "genuine." usually confused with "Ingenuous" which means "gullible" and "ingenuity" which means "inventive originality". it is best to use the word "DISINGENUOUS" when you are vying for the antonym of "genuine".

MaxK - 14 May 2014 23:13 - 40720 of 81564

"porkies" is the word you are looking for.

"bullshit" is another.

Plenty of same being posted on here....ps, thats what bullitin boards are for :-)

Haystack - 14 May 2014 23:31 - 40721 of 81564

The BBC tonight were reporting that interest rates are unlikely to rise for at least a year.

goldfinger - 14 May 2014 23:40 - 40722 of 81564

The ITV and sky were saying sooner rather than later.

Stan - 14 May 2014 23:53 - 40723 of 81564

Have you Little Englanders considered all moving to the same area and then setting up your own "Little England Country" within it? You could then lobby the government for some sort of Independence/Self Government, something like Wales, Scotland or more recently Cornwall?

This place is probably to far north for most of you http://http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-cumbria-27313889 ... But I think you may get the idea with a bit of intelligent thinking.

No takers? Bit further to go but how about this one then http://www.property.org.uk/unique/islands.shtml

As Alf would say, answer the question -):

VICTIM - 15 May 2014 08:24 - 40724 of 81564

cynic - 15 May 2014 08:27 - 40725 of 81564
