MELDEX. Double your money- quicktime. (MDX)

kitosdad - 12 Dec 2007 16:20

The engines have fired up at last for MDX. ( BPRG ) At long last they are being recognised for the force they will become over the next two years. On the cusp of disclosing huge revenue-earning deals with Global pharmacists. These have been hinted at as being unrolled before the years end, but may be in the next days. You still have time to get in at a bargain-basement price before the SP takes off for real shortly.

Aldwickk
I dont know if you are talking to me..but Im hot..not a Turkish trading company.. I like the topic and the chocolate gag.and anything French is nice..but if I wanted to talk in riddles Id have gone to Gotham City.

Dil - 25 Jun 2008 17:36 - 415 of 8631

I thought there was a timetable from the initial offer til it expired and then til they could bid again if initial offer was dead. So initial offer Feb , then period to accept or negotiate then expiry then six months before new offer can be made.

Just guessing though.

halifax - 25 Jun 2008 19:33 - 416 of 8631

Is there any tangible evidence there was ever an offer or is it just heresay?

aldwickk - 25 Jun 2008 22:21 - 417 of 8631

tabasco,

If your name is tabasco, yes I am talking to you.

Do you know what as happen to the poster called The French connection [ Jamie D B ] ? No riddle Robin, yes or no.

tabasco - 26 Jun 2008 08:35 - 418 of 8631

oooooooooohhhhhhhhhhhhh!!! no!

pumben - 26 Jun 2008 08:38 - 419 of 8631

The management of this company is appalling, what is going on here ??? So far everything trhat is being reported appears to be aimed at knocking down the SP. Why isn't the company making any stratements to give shareholders a comfort that things are looking positive. The silence is very negative in my opinion !!!!

littlebert2 - 26 Jun 2008 08:59 - 420 of 8631

Theory : It is the LEGAL REQUIREMENT of any director of a listed company to ensure maximum shareholder value is obtained ....... even if it is to their own financial detriment (eg - if accepting an offer well above market value would benefit shaerholders but result in said director losing their position and salary).

Reality : Unless they can personally profit from golden handshakes or bargain priced options, I've never ever known one give up their salary to make shareholders rich.... and the toothless numpties at the FSA have NEVER intervened on behalf of shareholders... so dont hold your breath.

As for a resignation because of abuse from shareholders - pass the tissues 'round. What reaction did he expect from people who have potentially lost money because of his actions?

Dil - 26 Jun 2008 09:57 - 421 of 8631

halifax , yesterdays announcment says Aquistec made an offer in February that was turned down.

Dil - 26 Jun 2008 09:59 - 422 of 8631

And here's todays announcement , what did the guy expect for running the share price into the ground ? ..... round of applause and a pat on the back ?

Meldex International PLC

26 June 2008

Meldex International plc

('Meldex' or 'the Company')

Directorate change

Meldex announces today that Peter Ibbetson, Senior Independent Non-Executive Director, has resigned from his position on the Board with immediate effect to highlight the unacceptable behaviour from a minority of shareholders. This behaviour includes a high volume of abusive emails and phone calls to the Board, Management and staff, and the dissemination of information which the Board believes is often erroneous and misleading.

Mr Ibbetson joined the Board of Meldex as Non-Executive Chairman in July 2005. He then was appointed Senior Independent Non-Executive Director in April 2007.

Dr. Jim Murray, Non-Executive Chairman of the Company, said: 'I would like to thank Peter for all his hard work over the past 3 years. He has helped to grow the business to what it is today. I commend his stand in highlighting these serious issues. I am sorry that we are losing such a capable and supportive non-executive director from the Board. The Company continues to develop the business to the benefit of all shareholders.'

scotinvestor - 26 Jun 2008 11:36 - 423 of 8631

theres is no need for abusive behaviour.....that said, its like a wee kids playground....mdx say nothing for 6 months....then were told to communicate to us.....now they are saying....boo hoo, he called me a name.

for what its worth, i was informed this guy that resigned listened and took notes at meeting recently and seemed genuinely concerned to shareholder views......something that HL werent.

Dil - 26 Jun 2008 12:48 - 424 of 8631

Looks more to me like rats leaving a sinking ship.

Who's next I wonder ?

scotinvestor - 26 Jun 2008 12:52 - 425 of 8631

when they had meeting recently dil, it was common knowledge that it was likely he was going to leave.......thats what i was informed.....so its not a surprise, only the wonderful way mdx happen to report it thats all.

do u ever buy any shares dil in any company as i aint ever seen you post anything positive before?

tabasco - 26 Jun 2008 13:14 - 426 of 8631

Dil has shares in mdx Scotty trust me.He has sold his Mondaeo and Ive mellowed him. But he dont like letting his guard down.

Peter Ibbetson going because of abusive e-mails is certainly swaying me to the conspiracy theory. Give him a job in M&S customer service and he might understand a proper reason to resign.
The company has a solid foundation and it has got there in double quick timethat doesnt suggest a team full of idiots.but that is how they are acting. It dont stack upthere must be a stewards inquiry!
Scottyyou say Ibbetson was going anyway..was that irrespective of a takeover? It was a surprise to me.

scotinvestor - 26 Jun 2008 13:22 - 427 of 8631

i was informed that he was leaving....i'm not sure if he was to be booted out.....so this could be good excuse....yeah blaming pi's, lol.

the one big problem mdx has is COMMUNICATION.....1st 6 months we have nothing but when we do, its very poorly worded and childish too......does someone bring their 6 year daughter to work and she is the PR person

pumben - 26 Jun 2008 13:24 - 428 of 8631

Anyone attending the AGM today @ 3.00pm ?

Dil - 26 Jun 2008 13:25 - 429 of 8631

halifax - 26 Jun 2008 13:30 - 430 of 8631

MDX's half year is 30/6 08. It will be interesting to see how they present their accounts Hiralal Patel their CFO drew attention to the huge disparity between the company's internal accounts and the audited accounts produced in terms of IFRS when they produced their preliminary results in May. Perhaps this is what is spooking the market at present.

littlebert2 - 26 Jun 2008 13:39 - 431 of 8631

Anyone going the AGM, please take a big bucket to catch all the dummies as they get spat out :-) Makes me wish I could get there just to have a good laugh...

tabasco - 26 Jun 2008 13:42 - 432 of 8631

Pumben Im tied up..got some paint to watch dry. Think they might be doing a bit of whitewashing too.

Dil - 26 Jun 2008 13:49 - 433 of 8631

Would love to ask the CEO to justify his "nonsense" comment.
