skyhigh - 02 Jun 2006 09:03

Bought into IVE this morning, purely on speculation only... small time though. Don't know much about them though ! in for a penny in for a pound and all that.
Got out of TPG (dead loss and falling away fast)

poor poo poo canny take it likes to hand it out mind you when someone mixes it with him he runs home to mammy shouting ill squelch you lol.

Not very good at answering direct questions though

ptholden

You have not answered my question

Enlighten me as to why you think poo was right, if he was right and the reason he had for the price fall was the price of gas falling i would have no problem excepting that.

John, Poo made a comment regarding reporters, you called him a prat. For whatever reason the SP has fallen and it appears Poo was quite correct in disparaging the reporter's article. You can't really blame him for reappearing at a later date to make the point.

My point was not that he was correct or otherwise but that you insulted the chap and then complained when he came back to haunt you. Can't have it both ways.

Cynic - lots of applause :-)

atex - 14 Nov 2008 17:04 - 425 of 567

This is a steal at this price market cap is 1/4 NAV and buy sell ratio has been on the side of the buys with good percentage all week. Looks like Evolution are playing games and keeping the price low. may be some very good news in the offing very soon with the gas play, I'd rate as a buy at this price and hold all the way to 1.8p. just my opinion though

john50 - 14 Nov 2008 20:02 - 426 of 567

Ptholden.
John, you disparaged Poo's observation and it's come back to bite you in the arse, shame you couldn't accept he was "right" you were wrong with some grace.

I didn't ask you what i said or what he said, the question is quite simple explain why you think he called the drop in price right.

As for poor poo coming back to haunt me does not up set me one bit i will not be squelching him i am not that petty.

The Sunday Post share watch.

With the recent sharp falls in share prices there are now a few with a price around 1p. One that looks interesting is Irvine Energy, which is developing oil and gas projects in the United States, particularly in Oklahoma and Kansas which are reckoned to be particularly prolific oil and gas-producing areas. the company faced some production hiccups but its current drilling programme if fully financed at 1.25p Irvine Energy shares are an interesting speculative buy.

For whatever reason the SP has fallen and it appears Poo was quite correct in disparaging the reporter's article. You can't really blame him for reappearing at a later date to make the point.

Now can you explain to me why poor poo was correct in disparaging the reporters article, i might be reading the article wrong but i cannot see anything the reporter wrote at the time that anyone could disparage so mabye you could help me out here.

From a poster on advfn.

Dorset, below are the two posts I picked out from the LSE website. A poster called "Keep it Simple2 or KIS for short posted below on Wednesday morning and again on Friday. It would appear the shares were purchased via a Barclay nominee account. He did seem spot on with his timing.

1st post Wednesday 12th November

In Fact, You could say that the RNS released was a brief summary of all the bad poionts already disclosed.

Don't be suckered by the MM, also watch for RNS relating to increased BARC shareholding in the next couple of days

Had my power nap and am back.

2nd post on Friday 14th November

I knoew about the Barclays RNS because I bought 4 million through them and knew the RNS would follow, going via the nominee account route was the best option for me because I have plenty of these in certified form. Allows barc to loan out the shares in the future but there is a trick up the sleeve with this.

As soon as I know the shares are loaned for shorting I will transfer to crest shares forcing barcs to buy 4 million and close the short. If everyone took the long term view and transfered to crest today the buy ratio would shoot up to about 90% on record volume, and start the surge up. If this happened within three days the shares would be trading at about 1.85p to 2.25p from my calculations and Evloution would be nursing some pain. Problem is investors never work collectively like the shorters do

Been in Texas this week and had a little trip into OKlahoma, nothing to worry about on that front, lots of investment in shale gas at the moment and that will continue for years to come, few smaller players are shuffling for position and acquisition but nothing will be sold off at bargain basement prices. IVE is a very strong candidate for a takeover and it may come very quickly estimates for TO price I have are 4-8p these prices may be being used to allow some leverage in the TO.

Watch for the gas production and KTE listed on ASX give good updates on progress and have shared interest with Irvine, possible to get the news in advance

john50 - 16 Nov 2008 22:38 - 429 of 567

Another one from Kis on lse boards.

All ops are contracted out to Metro Energy Group, who sub-contract to a lot of firms in the area including KTE.AUS which also has a working interest with IVE. Gasrock are the financiers to most of the project and have provided plenty of working capital on the condition that IVE raise the money for the 3d siesmic program. Chesepeake are trying to take over the gas production in the area and a the most likely to take IVE over but the price will not be cheap because Gasrock will want good retun in their investment so really we have to see Chesepeake as the back up plan. The company is strongly positioned in the exploration, proving and developing business, they will leave the production to others which is a weakness to the company because they are prone to overruns like the one stated but they are alo limited to liability which would de-value the assetts.

Evolution are the company's nominated adviser and broker NOMAD, all AIM companies need to have one of these.

They are also the main MM, market maker making sure the shares are tradable and look as if they are feeling the pressure of the buy momentum over the last month. They are manipulating the stock in my opinion to ensure all involved get options on the cheap, they have already sold all the shares that they will be underwritting as part of a captial raising issue and will clean up at the expence of small pi's. If you have a grip about how this share is being manipulated then email richard.griffi h@evosecuri ies.com

Alternatively of course, they are just going bust.

Interesting that the next stage of the credit crisis appears to be with us. In the last 24 hours, several previous darlings of AIM have declared themselves to be bankrupt. Many more in the next few weeks and this may well be amongst them.

Unless it is an excellent trading op, anyone buying this now would seriously be in need of therapy.

dealerdear-In the last 24 hours, several previous darlings of AIM have declared themselves to be bankrupt.

Hi dd, can you tell me where I can view that information please?

First searches reveal nowt.

Thanks

dealerdear - 17 Nov 2008 07:36 - 432 of 567

Check-out AVID (although to be fair they haven't quite given-up the ghost yet), VIVIDAS and today VOLLER all since Friday I think. Think there may have been 1-2 more but you'll have to check-out RNS announcements either here or on www.investegate.co.uk

Thanks for your help dd.

john50 - 17 Nov 2008 07:53 - 435 of 567

Some people talk alot of crap.

dealerdear - 17 Nov 2008 08:10 - 436 of 567

I'm not say they are going bust I'm just trying to point-out that in this market IVE is very very high risk. The MM's haven't placed their sp below 1p for nothing. Just don't be in denial. You never know, they may be trading at 1 in 5 years time but equally they are more likely not to be around.

Their is absolutely no credit atm for any fundraising at all.

Hope I'm wrong for holders. I have never held these.

The more the better. I do ask you to do it (if you feel something is not quite right), please, many of us know what we have been witnessing. All it is, is one email. Thanks and good luck to us all.

Well, well, I told you I was the kiss of death when I bought at 4p+, then doubled up at 2p+, doh!!. Surely Gasrock could have bankrolled anyone of a 1,000 company's looking for money, I can't believe they picked the worst one in the world to invest in.

skyhigh - 18 Nov 2008 12:35 - 439 of 567

Grim isn't it...! I originally bought in twice at 4p+ a couple of years ago but have not topped up since (although have been tempted to along the way).

The real K'oD was really when it was tipped in Shares Mag & IC recently (b4 the recent drop).

Also the current stk market and crude $prices havn't helped... Not worth me selling at this low level so will hold on for another couple of yrs and hope for the best!

john50 - 18 Nov 2008 13:42 - 440 of 567

Sorry to hear that skyhigh, my first buy was just over three but have averaged down to .95.

Newtrim - 18 Nov 2008 16:15 - 441 of 567

forgive me for being a bit stupid but let me try and put a point across...IVE have overspent on running costs and may / will have to sell some of their assets to make up for the over spend...I am assuming they are still "exploring" and the drilling program they have is still on course...so what's to say they might still get lucky and find some good stuff?...If I'm being stupud then apologies but just trying to look at a positive angle to the gloom.
