I think Taddites are in a state of shock today.
Though I can theorize/understand why the price didn't rise as most of us expected/hoped (fairly easy in hindsight). I to am disappointed.
Still, look on the bright side, at least it didn't go down!!!!!!!!
Perhaps the next interim results will show the financial significance of the MCI deal and others!!
Highride.
PS. Isn't it quiet!

That has to be good news.
Institutions will take more note now.

Hi yuff
You are quite right institutions who track the Techmark 100 will now have TAD on their radar screen. So now we can expect tracker funds to be buying or risk deviation.
All good news!

Place has opened due to staffware being bought out therefore looks like tad were the next company the fitted the criteria.

Yuff, MoneyLender.
Pardon my ignorance, but where did you find out about TAD's inclusion to the techmark.

Agree with everyone that Tech trackers might just underpin the share price as we approach interims.

Evo pushed th price up to get the necessary Market cap to fulfil Techmark 100 regulations and then move back down.
So their total amount of time supporting the share for which they are house broker amounts to about 2 hours this year, the rest is spent on the own dodgy dealings.

just been having a think......i bought my first tads in 92 or 93 for 30p. silly as it seems i bought the shares because i was using ceefax in those days and the name just semed to scream " BUY " at me. its now maybe 12 years on and tad is a different animal entirely.
the moral ( if there is one ), dont take any notice of gut feelings. i must have traded tad 150 times in all those years and now 20% of a lifetime later it FINALLY ( again ) looks like tad will deliver.

So is Tadpole in the Techmark or the Techmark 100? The two are very different, most of the rampy comments made only apply to the Techmark 100, which is the top 100 shares in the Techmark :-)

A quiet day after what has been a busy week in the life of Tad.
Price has moved up every day this week so far, albeit not as much as I or other peolle were expecting based on the news, one can only think investors out there have not realised the significance of doing business with a massive telco like MCI.
MM's are 4.1 with the HB neither on the bid or offer.

It's a scary thought, but do you think that the MCI deal that was basically known back in January is already factored into the price, or, hopefully, the market is either very dozey right now or busy elsewhere?????

I don't really view the deal as much in so far as MCI are using Apps internally - although of course this should be worth $$$$
but I see the real value in that MCI are no in effect a reseller
MCI will be knocking on the door of every multinational asking them if they want to use the service - and presumably they already have some to consider it worthwhile to develop the service.
Admittedly the cost is having to give MCI a large slice but the clients they should pull in will be tremendous

I think you are right but I have read on other boards the amount of cash MCI are going to throw at appx is staggering, if they are that impressed with the software somewhere down the line it will be shown in tads bottom line.

Highride - I have said for quite a while now that the MCI "announcement" was already factored into the price. It is always a mistake to assume that this type of "inside" knowledge is only known on BBs. It has been an open secret for ages. However, IF DD is correct, then the longer term revenue through-put generated by MCI will only be factored in over the coming months. A bullish statement at the interims (I expect no less if the past is anything to go by!) but with a bit more specifics about s may start to generate long-term upward momentum - whereas more hyperbole and techno-waffle will have the reverse effect. Cheers.

Yuff
What is MCI's turnover?
even if they only managed to generate $20m p.a. from the service and TAD got 10%.....I think you can do the maths
anyone who doubts the long term benefit of this deal is retarded imho.
not to mention the fact an ETI salesman can now walk into a company and when asked for what customers Apps has he can name drop MCI
