Fred,

I do hope that you have kept your "buying" hands in your pockets.

survived87 - 10 Aug 2007 09:30 - 429 of 1427

Well, Fred, as you know I'm always 'optimistic' that the worst will happen.....

At least REH is up this morning.....

PS: Wonder what the barman at the food throwing pub (O.J.S.) thinks about the 'mini-panic'?

Fred1new - 10 Aug 2007 11:01 - 430 of 1427

No I have been burnt.

Stupid B.

survived87 - 13 Aug 2007 20:30 - 431 of 1427

Presume it's still on for Wednesday @14.00 at the Old Pie Flinging Joint....

Stan - 13 Aug 2007 21:16 - 432 of 1427

Yes, I'm still on how about you Fred? and any new comers.

All welcome.

Fred1new - 14 Aug 2007 09:21 - 433 of 1427

Just sold my shirt.

Yes will be there at 2pm.

survived87 - 14 Aug 2007 09:32 - 434 of 1427

But you'll need that (your shirt) as it's raining outside...

Fred1new - 14 Aug 2007 11:08 - 435 of 1427

Did I say shirt or skirt? I can still borrow a skirt from my wife. I think I am confused.

Are, Living in a city can play strange tricks.

Ed: Have a look at the HEAR thread.

>Living in a city can play strange tricks

It's the excess of electro-magnetic waves around in cities that does it - therefore the bigger the city the stranger the tricks.... The only long solutions are to either move to Henley-in-Arden or drink plenty of ale ....

>Have a look at the HEAR thread.

Presume you mean the one on the Traders Room ... Unfortunately I can't access that as it's on a paid subscription.... (and I subscribe to an alternative financial website)....

Stan - 14 Aug 2007 11:53 - 439 of 1427

No good moving to HiA , as I expect they will be blighted with people pollution in the coming years if the large employers and their mates the party politicians persist in this irresponsible development policy.

survived87 - 14 Aug 2007 13:21 - 440 of 1427

But it does have good Ice Cream ..... guess the next alternative is some remote island off Scottish coast .... also no problem wearing skirts there .. .. but no ale just whiskey...

Stan - 14 Aug 2007 14:33 - 441 of 1427

Real Ice Cream now your talking...not sure about the rest though.

Fred1new - 15 Aug 2007 20:15 - 442 of 1427

Home safe ....

But it's not over yet as DOW appears to be down 122 presently. So only buy using Monopoly money....

Stan - 15 Aug 2007 22:08 - 444 of 1427

Home and dry with the Dow down 160+

...Keep hands in pockets until further notice I think.

survived87 - 16 Aug 2007 07:53 - 445 of 1427

Morning.....

The following page gives location info for Barton Arms:

http://www.oakhamales.com/Contacts.asp?m_pid=0&m_nid=3650

(Will check nearest parking in a couple of weeks time).

Regarding ArtsFest (14th -16th September 2007 in Birmingham city centre) then website ( http://www.artsfest.org.uk ) not giving full info yet but does mention
"ArtsFest-goers will also benefit from sneak preview tours around the newly re-furbished Town Hall"....

PS: UK smallcap opening - Capital Pub Co ticks up on pub acquisition

Stan - 16 Aug 2007 11:07 - 446 of 1427

If you can find acceptable parking at the BA that would give us options.

Thanks for Town Hall info.

Only slight concern with Capital is the amount of Dept, but interesting outfit all the same.
