THE TALK TO YOURSELF THREAD. (NOWT)

goldfinger - 09 Jun 2005 12:25

Thought Id start this one going because its rather dead on this board at the moment and I suppose all my usual muckers are either at the Stella tennis event watching Dim Tim (lose again) or at Henly Regatta eating cucumber sandwiches (they wish,...NOT).

Anyway please feel free to just talk to yourself blast away and let it go on any company or subject you wish. Just wish Id thought of this one before.

cheers GF.

gym this morning and then actually did a bit of work; real strain :-)

PFC
i didn't think the rns said anything very exciting, or at least nothing that was not already expected
pretty pissed off with them as the damn thing just refuses to perform, but then i can say that about the rest of my shredded portfolio too ..... at least it means i manage to sit on my hands

anyway, off on jolly hols on saturday morning provided those froggy commy bastards don't totally screw everything :-)

Fred1new - 24 Jun 2014 17:33 - 42819 of 81564

I hope the gym has a resuscitation kit.

Perhaps, I should withdraw that remark.

..........

If you are feeling bad about your holding, have some of mine.

BARC. LLOY, DXNS, TW. TCG, EMG,EPO..EZJ,AV. just to name a few which are stalling.

I keep on hoping we have bottomed out, but feel more bottom than out!

The French know your coming,

That is why they are going on strike.

One advantage of a M/Home is you can park on the dock and have a meal and snooze.

cynic - 24 Jun 2014 17:39 - 42820 of 81564

that'ld explain why they're not still striking when i come home :-)

Fred1new - 24 Jun 2014 18:08 - 42821 of 81564

They are making sure you leave the country first!

cynic - 24 Jun 2014 18:31 - 42822 of 81564

mind you, as we fly into marseille, and that flight is still ok, it may be that they hope to ship me straight across to north africa so i can become a sephardi rather than an ashkenazi :-)

cynic - 24 Jun 2014 21:07 - 42823 of 81564

cameron
an interesting stance in europe, which can be interpreted in all sorts of ways depending on your political affiliation

for myself, i am undecided as to whether it is a strong and principled piece of leadership or a despertate last fling at trying to salvage something from a pretty inept performance to date

Fred1new - 24 Jun 2014 21:17 - 42824 of 81564

Do you stop in Marseille?

Hitch hike through Marseille about 58 years ago in September during the vendange and drank glasses of fresh grape juice from the little kiosks along the route. Drifted onto to Cassis and swam in the calanques and had my first taste of fish soup.

Beautiful area.

Must try and go back there one day and have a closer look at Marseille, which in those days was to say the least a dubious town.

Enjoy the summer I will be back in the Dordogne after being escorted around Paris.

Fred1new - 24 Jun 2014 21:19 - 42825 of 81564

Cameron's approach is the problem and I think he is dishonest for his own political party gains rather than the long term good of the country.

MaxK - 24 Jun 2014 21:20 - 42826 of 81564

Cameroon is blowing smoke up your ass c, he cant change anything, he knows he cant, and he doesent really want to anyway.

ExecLine - 24 Jun 2014 22:20 - 42827 of 81564

Cameron is certainly too weak and it's time he stepped down to give the Tories a better chance in the GE.

I would now seriously like to see Boris Johnson in command of the party. He has the intellect for it and we could get all the EU's MEPs and all the MPs riding bikes.

Any mistakes Boris makes could be laughed off and forgiven by everyone in the land (*), because he has proved to us he does/did such a good job running London and the Olympics.

(*) That is, except for 'goldfinger the commie' and Fred, who could go on yet another holiday to France.

"I am just going to try this big fanny for size," said Little Dick.

But little did he know, it wasn't big enough and he got stuck. So they sent for the Fire Brigade and 6 cases of K-Y Jelly.

goldfinger - 24 Jun 2014 23:18 - 42829 of 81564

Look at the Lib/Dems............

electionista @electionista ยท
UK - Survation/RMT poll in Crawley, Stevenage, Reading W., Milton Keynes S:

LAB 38%
CON 34%
UKIP 19%
GRN 6%
LDEM 2%

MaxK - 24 Jun 2014 23:23 - 42830 of 81564

Maybe the Dim/Libs can get Suarez to endorse them?

goldfinger - 24 Jun 2014 23:26 - 42831 of 81564

What a GE campaign like 'were going to get our teeth into the things that really matter to hard working people'.

Fred1new - 24 Jun 2014 23:35 - 42832 of 81564

Exec,

I think Boris is amusing and sometimes funny but I think he is as morally corrupt at the present con party leader.

Both are interested in themselves and their ambitions not that of those they are supposed to be serving.

Self interest corrupts.

=========

But the con party doesn't have the courage to dump Cameron especially when he is served by apparatchiks of a similar ilk of Haze and some others.

Haystack - 24 Jun 2014 23:35 - 42833 of 81564

That poll is clearly nonsense. The Libs have been pretty constant recently.

Haystack - 24 Jun 2014 23:44 - 42834 of 81564

Interestingly, the guy that runs the Yougov polling company was saying a couple of days ago on Sky that the Libs will probably get close to their normal seats in the GE and so will the Conservatives.
