Highride - or http://www.londonstockexchange.com/techmark/companies/allshare/info.asp?sedol=0870593

Agree with everyone that Tech trackers might just underpin the share price as we approach interims.

yuff - 11 Jun 2004 08:11 - 430 of 2262

Evo pushed th price up to get the necessary Market cap to fulfil Techmark 100 regulations and then move back down.
So their total amount of time supporting the share for which they are house broker amounts to about 2 hours this year, the rest is spent on the own dodgy dealings.

biffa18 - 11 Jun 2004 08:29 - 431 of 2262

so are we going to see a big drop to let funds etc in ??

Moneylender - 11 Jun 2004 08:32 - 432 of 2262

Maybe the funds are already in.
Some very fishy deals/trades been going on for the last few weeks!

just been having a think......i bought my first tads in 92 or 93 for 30p. silly as it seems i bought the shares because i was using ceefax in those days and the name just semed to scream " BUY " at me. its now maybe 12 years on and tad is a different animal entirely.

the moral ( if there is one ), dont take any notice of gut feelings. i must have traded tad 150 times in all those years and now 20% of a lifetime later it FINALLY ( again ) looks like tad will deliver.

Kayak - 11 Jun 2004 09:05 - 434 of 2262

So is Tadpole in the Techmark or the Techmark 100? The two are very different, most of the rampy comments made only apply to the Techmark 100, which is the top 100 shares in the Techmark :-)

Moneylender - 11 Jun 2004 09:09 - 435 of 2262

Kayak

We are in the Techmark 100.

A quiet day after what has been a busy week in the life of Tad.
Price has moved up every day this week so far, albeit not as much as I or other peolle were expecting based on the news, one can only think investors out there have not realised the significance of doing business with a massive telco like MCI.
MM's are 4.1 with the HB neither on the bid or offer.

Highride - 11 Jun 2004 10:04 - 437 of 2262

Yuff, biffa18 & pachandl.

Thanks for replying. I'll check out those links once today's rush is over.

Cheers.

It's a scary thought, but do you think that the MCI deal that was basically known back in January is already factored into the price, or, hopefully, the market is either very dozey right now or busy elsewhere?????

I don't really view the deal as much in so far as MCI are using Apps internally - although of course this should be worth $$$$

but I see the real value in that MCI are no in effect a reseller

MCI will be knocking on the door of every multinational asking them if they want to use the service - and presumably they already have some to consider it worthwhile to develop the service.

Admittedly the cost is having to give MCI a large slice but the clients they should pull in will be tremendous

yuff - 11 Jun 2004 10:50 - 440 of 2262

Dick
I think you are right but I have read on other boards the amount of cash MCI are going to throw at appx is staggering, if they are that impressed with the software somewhere down the line it will be shown in tads bottom line.

pachandl - 11 Jun 2004 10:52 - 441 of 2262

Highride - I have said for quite a while now that the MCI "announcement" was already factored into the price. It is always a mistake to assume that this type of "inside" knowledge is only known on BBs. It has been an open secret for ages. However, IF DD is correct, then the longer term revenue through-put generated by MCI will only be factored in over the coming months. A bullish statement at the interims (I expect no less if the past is anything to go by!) but with a bit more specifics about s may start to generate long-term upward momentum - whereas more hyperbole and techno-waffle will have the reverse effect. Cheers.

dickdasterdly10000 - 11 Jun 2004 10:52 - 442 of 2262

Yuff

What is MCI's turnover?

even if they only managed to generate $20m p.a. from the service and TAD got 10%.....I think you can do the maths

anyone who doubts the long term benefit of this deal is retarded imho.

not to mention the fact an ETI salesman can now walk into a company and when asked for what customers Apps has he can name drop MCI

superrod - 11 Jun 2004 10:53 - 443 of 2262

Highride
i take your point about the deal being aready factored in.....BUT...what about the dozens of peeps posting ( representing maybe a few % of tad watchers ) who are waiting for deals to be ANNOUNCED.

imo the brave get 100% of something, the guys who sit on the sidelines and wait get far less. a choice we all make.

dickdasterdly10000 - 11 Jun 2004 10:57 - 444 of 2262

supperrod - how can the deal be factored in when the service is not up and running?

an expectation of deal is included but no one has any idea of the $$$$ it will geenrate to TAD

in future years 18p may look tiny on the back of it - of course 18p may also turn out to be too high but I doubt it

yuff - 11 Jun 2004 11:08 - 445 of 2262

dick
From memory MCI's t/o is in the region last year of $20b.

dickdasterdly10000 - 11 Jun 2004 11:10 - 446 of 2262

Yuff - I think that shows that even a failure to MCI would be a massive boon to TAD's performance

p.s. I think Scotland will be lucky to stay anywhere near a 27 point spread against Australia on saturday

yuff - 11 Jun 2004 11:17 - 447 of 2262

Yes Dick.
It seems tad's low key approach to this MCI deal is at the behest of MCI otherwise we would, I am sure, be seeing more pr from the company.
Imo this can only mean one thing, MCI really do want to gain market share with this product otherwise why keep it so hush hush.

superrod - 11 Jun 2004 11:21 - 448 of 2262

dd1000
i am only pointing out a possibility. it doesnt mean i believe it, just that many others may.
