Please report bugs and enhancements (BUGS)

andy.lovell - 04 Nov 2002 11:26

If you're having any problems, or want to suggest some improvements, please post below!

Level2 changes
In the last few weeks we've needed to implement some code changes to make us compliant with the LSE's rules on the access of Level2 data.

The following requirement is now in place:
You can only use 1 program on 1 computer to access Level2 on MoneyAM using a single username.

This means that you are able to view as many Level2 windows using any one particular browser, or program, that you wish, however you will not be able to use both Firefox and Internet Explorer at the same time (the same goes for using Quote Tracker or TradeSeeker at the same time as viewing it using a web browser)

If you find you're being logged off of MoneyAM's Level2 with the message 'you've logged on from another location' then check the above and make sure you're not running any other programs at the same time before reporting this as a bug.

Some else got an 'apostrophes and slash' problem?

IanT(MoneyAM) - 09 Feb 2006 09:27 - 4333 of 7315

Doc,

JT was just doing a little research on that subject..

Ian

DocProc - 09 Feb 2006 09:38 - 4334 of 7315

Sometimes , when I see an apostrophe on a posting, I am also seeing it preceded by a 'backslash'.

See posts 51 and 54 on the 'Lucy' thread as an example.

Test:

Mine's that's it's one's

Edit: Seems OK now.

Yes Doc,

As I said, Jt was looking into that very subject

Thanks

Ian

Jules,

sounds like a java problem. I saw you mentioned earlier that you had problems with Java yesterday - did you do any uninstalls, or re installs with it? If not what did you do to when you had these problems yesterday?

Ian

Ian
I had this probem a while back after the java upgrade.I restored the computer to an earlier date and everything was fine. the java was again upgraded a couple of days ago. The problem started again and I had todisable a flash addon. This morning I found the sun java had been disabled. I don't understand all of this as I am basically incompetent with computers:-)

IanT(MoneyAM) - 09 Feb 2006 10:23 - 4339 of 7315

Jules,

Hard to say what is causing this, but there are a couple of options you can try - you can try uninstalling the java you have and re install to see if this clears the issue, or you could try rolling back again to see if this cures the issue as before.

thanks Ian, will try to do that

sarkee - 09 Feb 2006 14:07 - 4341 of 7315

Why the sudden need for maintenance ?

TullettJ (MoneyAM) - 09 Feb 2006 14:09 - 4342 of 7315

sarkee,

that's an autoscreen that goes up when there's something amiss that can't be fixed automatically.

We had an issue with our application server that needed manual intervention :(

I seem to have an intermittent problem on Stockwatch.

The SEO line is not showing other than the Epic code and total volume - all other daya is missing. All other stocks are reported ok.

Happened on Friday as well

Only seems to efffect SEO line

bhunt1910 - 13 Feb 2006 08:40 - 4344 of 7315

Total volumes now missing on SEO only along with all other data ?

bhunt1910 - 13 Feb 2006 09:53 - 4345 of 7315

This gets even more interesting - I have now got 2 (identical) stocckwatch screens open in front of me - one of which includes all the SEO info and one which does not.

James(MoneyAM) - 13 Feb 2006 10:13 - 4346 of 7315

bhunt1910,

I can't reproduce this, I'm afraid.

All I can suggest is to try the usual things - reboot your machine, and if that doesn't work, uninstall Java and then reinstall the lastest version.

James.

Would it be possible in a future enhancement of the Charting facility to add Moving Average Bands. The facility to add a band for a simple or exponential ma +/- a % value would be very helpful?

Stan - 13 Feb 2006 11:15 - 4348 of 7315

Around 6 months ago I tried to log In to MoneyAM down the library but could not as the username was not excepted, went Into my email and found that I had been allocated another U/N.
Yesterday the same thing happened (U/N not excepted)so I just gave up.
Never happened before at home as P/W and U/N are filled In automatically, any Ideas what's happening please?

I use a Mac at home but libaries only have PCs so have no choice but to use them, not sure different operating system should have been significant but I just don't know.

James(MoneyAM) - 13 Feb 2006 12:01 - 4349 of 7315

Hi johngtudor,

Thanks for the suggestion - I'll look into adding this in the future.

Cheers, James.
