axdpc, you can do simple scripting with MSDOS. Create a file with Notepad called something.bat with a line for each window you want to create, e.g.

"c:\program files\internet explorer\iexplore.exe" "http://www.moneyam.com"

You can create a shortcut to the file and insert it in your startup group of course if you want. The snag with this method is that the windows get created in no particular order. There are options for maximised/minimised windows etc though.

A tip which may help the process

If you are moving the files to another PC be sure that you are transferring them to THE SAME OR A NEWER VERSION of OE.

The only time this file transfer system has let me down was when I had a fresh instal of win98 on a PC and hadnt done the online updates. The OE files were from a PC which had a newer version of OE and the process failed totally.

axdpc,

trying holding down Ctrl then hitting the 'PrintScreen' button. The screen image should now be on clipboard so can be pasted into paint. From paint either print or save the image.

Theres also an application called screen grab pro which does the job a bit slicker;

Think it's ALT+PrintScreen for the active window, PrintScreen on its own for the whole screen, though you may have problems with the latter on a multi-screen setup.

axdpc, I downloaded a program from www.tucows.com called spx which will grab screenshots of whatever you want and save them in jpg format. I've used them for the screenshots in the Sharescope eod thread (You inspired me after you set up your diy thread!).

This is going to sound really dumb. I have 2 computers and three screens. I want to link the 3 monitors and 1 laptop together. However as I expectd when I link a monitor to a laptop all I get is the same screen on both. I expected this as I've dont it before but how do I link the monitors so they are independant?!?

Mr Euro - not sure I understand the question... What would you like to see on the external monitor you're plugging into the laptop? An extension of the laptop's desktop? Fairly sure that can't be done - the same video card feeds the built-in screen and any external monitor connected (at least on any laptop I've come across) - if a laptop did support two monitors I'd expect there to be two external monitor sockets.

If by "independent" you mean sitting side by side to give a huge desktop, look at a thread called "What is parhelia" - it's still on the front page of the list.

If you mean totally separate, to effectively have 3 environments running their own desktops and applications... no - you need more computers :-)
