The same as all of us Evil gets some right but also gets some wrong.

goldfinger - 10 Dec 2006 01:04 - 437 of 3050

Be very carefull with Evil, he kids on he knows nothing about a company when he jolly well knows that some will be fooled by that and still go in and buy.

Monday should be a facinating day.

KEAYDIAN - 10 Dec 2006 13:21 - 438 of 3050

DIL, no point!

porky - 10 Dec 2006 14:57 - 439 of 3050

Don`t understand what you mean by being fooled GF, this is a fast growing company, has been very well researched on various sites, is a fast growing industry throughout the world, so why would I be fooled by that.
Regards.

Looks like Evil is right again. Down 23p now.

soul traders - 11 Dec 2006 10:26 - 441 of 3050

Doubtless there's plenty of room for day-traders with this stock. I expect the next results will do something positive for the SP.

Article on FT.com provides some balanced comment.

FWIW I did a little calculation based on likely full-year profits.

Acording to company predictions of 18Mw output in Q4 2006, they could earn profits of $11.39 million. Add this to the existing $14.465 and you get $25.85 million.

A quick and dirty currency conversion at $1.98 to 1.00 gives 13 mil profits.

Divide current market cap of 410 mil by 13 and you get PE 31.5.

Not bad when one considers the growth rate involved and the fact that the US market is prepared to pay multiples of up to 100+ for such companies. Not that I am saying that SOLA will trade at PE 100; I think the ceiling will probably be in the mid-forties at best, but it does go to show that the SP is in some way in contact with the fundamentals, when one considers the growth rate involved.

All IMO, PDYOR.

Dil - 11 Dec 2006 12:11 - 444 of 3050

If memory serves me Evil trained as an accountant didn't he ?

Fundamentalist - 11 Dec 2006 12:27 - 445 of 3050

nothing wrong with training as an accountant Dil :-)

Dil - 11 Dec 2006 13:20 - 446 of 3050

Tell me about it :-)

hlyeo98 - 11 Dec 2006 15:58 - 447 of 3050

On a fast downward slide again...down 30p to 400p

HARRYCAT - 11 Dec 2006 16:12 - 448 of 3050

Not exactly big quantities per trade though, so may be shorters & day traders packing up for the day?

HARRYCAT - 11 Dec 2006 21:53 - 449 of 3050

Slightly off topic: Has anyone looked at PFLM which is not a SOLA competitor, but looks to be in the same market?

goldfinger - 12 Dec 2006 00:30 - 450 of 3050

PFML will do a check Harry C. Cheers mate.

Anyone a advfn groupie here been asked to find out what Evil had to say on sola today , didnt really expect anything but got this off a mate who is a subscriber to winnies site. Can you anyone please pass it on to the other big site beginning with A, much obliged...........

The price action of Renesola (SOLA) should tell you something. Merrill Lynch - as every Bulletin Board lunatic knows - has published a buy note with an 8 price target. If that note was even vaguely credible then the shares would be heading towards 8. They are not and thus the note is - by definition - incredible. It is just yet more broker blathering. Presumably a fund raising must be planned.

regards GF.

must get to bed now, suffering from flu/cold.

Good luck to everyone.

goldfinger - 12 Dec 2006 02:05 - 451 of 3050

Ps, again I forgot to mention as anyone looked again at the US slides presentation (sola site) page 12, it is still showing the company making a loss.

I for one am completley puzzled by this, is this company making a profit or making a loss?,

Some of them over the road thought it was a mistake and e-mailed the CEO last thursday, nothing as happened, just what is right or wrong?.

Totaly confused.

fortitude18 - 12 Dec 2006 07:58 - 452 of 3050

gf

merrill lynch buy note...the price went to 510p on its publication. its gone up 620% since its flotation since august..what are you blathering on about?

ML is a respected investment company. Goldfinger's analysis pales into insignificance in comparison. Infact this site is as shite as it comes. No analysis just hot air.

what a waste of my time even posting on here

cynic - 12 Dec 2006 08:16 - 453 of 3050

F18 ... SO DON'T!

To others ..... imo, the share is almost certainly still badly overbought ..... though ML put out their buy note with the well-publicised target of 8.00, it was something of a reality check when i tried to sell just 5000 @ 478 last thursday(?) evening, when i was hard pressed to find any MM to take them ...... ML did not want to know! ..... in the end i had to accept 472, and am very glad i did, though i shall no doubt re-enter in due course

HARRYCAT - 12 Dec 2006 08:32 - 454 of 3050

Strange, cynic. I use Selftrade & have had no problems buying or selling SOLA stock online.

cynic - 12 Dec 2006 08:40 - 455 of 3050

Harry .... it may well have been that just that particular evening, following a couple of days of very hectic trading - i.e. MMs had filled their books in the expectation of plenty of buyers who ultimately did not materialise; hence sharp dip ....... actually have just bought back some!
