I think they will announce something similar to what ASDA had, i.e. a 60 day option period, which will give them time to negotiate the terms. My humble opinion.

There you go Mr Robson 2.3 million purchased (last post on YOO - sorry)

EWRobson - 19 May 2005 14:21 - 4375 of 27111

Biscuit. SEO don't need to do it and Wal-Mart don't need to do it either. Wal-Mart have the evidence from ASDA and will want to crack on. SEO are training all these engineers for the US market and will want to crack them into action on return to the US. Seems unlikely though that they can have already completed negotiations. May be forced by SE rules to make some announcement because of the rumours and sp movement. But if they are in teh middle of negotiations than that is all they same and the rumour brigade will be back buying!

Four documents that you might have missed, they are essential reading if you are thinking of investing in Stanelco (SEO) or already a shareowner.

The tool has gone to Israel for a couple of weeks but says he'll be back-- info. for the squelchers.
Exciting day do you think there'll be a pull back tomorrow to add a few more??

robinhood - 19 May 2005 15:48 - 4379 of 27111

Hope you guys are right with the impending news on Monday. Personally I got some doubts as per rns 0f 10/5 it was announced that ASDA was to start further tests with Hitchens food. Somehow i doubt that those tests have been completed and therefore also doubt that Walmart is ready yet. Not that it worries me cos I do not mind waiting a bit longer for what is going to be the next best thing since greenseal packed sliced bread

EWRobson - 19 May 2005 15:59 - 4380 of 27111

Biscuit: really don't know about Monday. I can't see how anyone would know other than SEO management and they may not know yet. It could be that they need to say something because of the speculation. Personally think Robinhood on the ball: just seems too quick for Wal-Mart, although both would want to get cracking on a deal, I suspect. Bit early too for further answers from Hitchin Foods; may be into a third trial. Could have something to say about Frogpack and a state of the union report on Greenseal. Having said that, there is tremendous activity in the market - no smoke without fire? Don't think the sp will retrace if news is delayed.

good stuff, driver. sp had a sniff of air above 30p today. i guess we shall see tomorrow wether it liked the smell or wether we are all being taken for a ride!!
so far seo have been a very tight company, not a company prone to leaks. i can't say i am happy with all the rumours and still no definate news from seo. hopefully we shall get something in the morning. some large to largeish t trades gone through late on.

pisces - 19 May 2005 17:38 - 4390 of 27111

Just a poser for the more educated on this excellent forum. If the markets close at 4.30pm why do trades show up after this time and not the following morning. Also the closing bid at 4.30pm was 27.75 so how can it go down to 27.25 after hours, and it seems the mm`s are very keen to mark the price down at every opportunity but all the buys between 4to4.30 didn`t move the price up which baring in mind there were well over a million seems strange.Somebody please enlighten me.

EWRobson - 19 May 2005 17:54 - 4391 of 27111

pisces: no authority but an interested observer. Most of those late recorded trades were at higher prices seen earlier in the day - time given is the time reported; slap on the writst for administrative inefficiency. MMs obviously had plenty of stock in hand so were happy to sell it without the price moving up. OK, there was a balance of 4m buys to sells, but they could have had a line of stock available that has not been reported. I would suspect that they will mark the price up in the morning in order to deter too much buying and encouraging selling. Likely to be new buyers coming in on basis of rumours, whilst weekly traders will close bull positions later in the day or depending on movements of the sp. Still expect us to be trading between 27p and 30p tomorrow.

bos: I think Stephanie's reports in the US will have encouraged conjecture. Keen to make her presence felt: her statements needed correction as you said although one of them was attributed to Howard White. ASADA initial orders seem to be confirmed at around 200 and tehy also corrected the leakage to less than 0.1% - quite amaziong improvement from 3%. But the main source of leaks seems likely to be from the training room with all these excited engineers gaining inevitably some inside knowledge. If that is the source, then its more likely to be well-founded than if from an analyst or pundit who turns speculation into news. May get some volatility for a while. Hope you kept your CFD on SEO open!
