scotinvestor - 16 Feb 2004 23:40 - 45 of 145

just wish that announcement would come.

Can u tell me anyone who you all trade with. I tried to buy 5000 of mediwatch 2 weeks ago with halifax but could only get 3000 worth. its still ok but now a bit p???ed off as its went up quite a bit already.

I'm thinking of changing who i deal with? Any suggestions? Thanks

BTW GF, thanks for helping me with BPRG. I noticed your comments last week and bought last Tuesday. I know i'm a bit late with BPRG but wont be in 2 to 3 years time as these r a gem.
I don't always agree with your tips but then again who is an expert these days in this topsy turvy stock market.

overgrowth - 17 Feb 2004 00:45 - 46 of 145

I use a TD Waterhouse nominee account - never had any problems.

bishopjeremy - 17 Feb 2004 12:01 - 47 of 145

bought and sold mdw through comdirect with no probs.

If an announcement doesn't come soon then I think the price will dip back to 10p, and I will top up. However it may announce very soon in which case 20p target I think is achievable this yr but short term it's probably been factored in, see trends before last yr as this is not a new scenario, it's just the strenghth of the sector that's changed and the US approval being added to the existing product.

goldfinger - 17 Feb 2004 23:53 - 49 of 145

Down a tad today. Im keeping faith with this one. Its usually the case that the big boys in the US mess the little ones around for a while before agreeing on a contract. May even add as this certainly is not a one trick pony. Just been looking again at the news to come and it appears newsflow will keep this one going all the year through.

cheers GF.

GF,

I agree, this one looks better the more research you do, and talking of research and the imminent prospects of MDW's hard labours bearing many baskets of fruit, I noticed an audio interview by the Wall Street Reporter made on 21st Jan this year with the CEO.

Here's the link for anyone who hasn't heard it yet:

Well done overgrowth thats a fine piece of research. Added again this morning and now forming a nice position within this company. Dont think many have realised just how big this one could be.

cheers GF.

Janus - 18 Feb 2004 12:51 - 52 of 145

Many thanks overview. I hadnt heard this one before

overgrowth - 18 Feb 2004 21:33 - 53 of 145

I'd top up with a few more of these also, if I had spare funds.

Plenty to look forward to:

Sales & Marketing
-----------------
US distribution contract
Canadian approval
Canadian distribution contract
Whole of Asia (including India, China, Korea, Japan) contract
Whole of Asia distribution contract

New Markets for Product Development (in next 12-18 months)
----------------------------------------------------------
GI
Cardio
Veterinary
Opthalmic

I like the sound of the fingerprint diagnostic test being the "gold mine".

These guys sounds very confident and so they should be. Now the hard start-up work has been done this one should run and run. Short term or long term, it looks as though there are going to be some very rich investors who got in at these levels.

cheers GF.

Oakapples - 23 Feb 2004 09:45 - 55 of 145

Me too - this is currently my big loser

kantona - 23 Feb 2004 15:05 - 56 of 145

the share price now is coming back up .. i personally think there was bound to be some profit taking after such a strong run ..this vll come good ..just a case of being patient and strong

kantona - 23 Feb 2004 15:05 - 57 of 145

goldfinger - 23 Feb 2004 16:26 - 58 of 145

Yes patience, probably the most valuable tool when investing.

cheers GF.

overgrowth - 23 Feb 2004 21:05 - 59 of 145

GF - I agree, have just been reading "Reminiscences of a Stock Operator" and that really rams home the point that the really big gains are made by spotting a big opportunity, trading at the point you think best and then waiting and waiting until it all comes together.

MDW is such a gem at these prices because we already know that there is a consistent stream of newsflow to come, the US distribution deal being just a start and for small companies good newsflow is crucial to keeping the press and punters interested.

All will be revealed in good time.

goldfinger - 23 Feb 2004 21:15 - 60 of 145

Couldnt agree more overgrowth. Too many people panic on short term movements.

cheers GF.

scotinvestor - 23 Feb 2004 21:19 - 61 of 145

i bought in at just under 10p so no panic for me as yet. However, looking at chart, i think we are due another big hike up very soon. Any experienced chartists out there to back up my claims

goldfinger - 25 Feb 2004 00:01 - 62 of 145

Not a chartist scotinvestor just hoping the do manage to rally.

cheers GF.

The one month candlestick chart shows the recent trend turning bullish again:

draw?startDate=25%2F01%2F04&period=1M&pl

The dragonfly doji (horizontal line with vertical underneath) is a respected bullish sign after a downtrend. This means that support brought the price back up to where it started from.

The hammer (rectangle with long vertical underneath) is also well-known as a bullish signal, heralding the "hammering up" of the price imminently - note that this powering up of bullishness does not always happen in the next session, but is sure to follow soon. This hammer also emphasises very strong support at 11.5p.

So, it looks like the chart is saying that the deal could be announced before the end of the week. If this is not the case, then it looks as though there will be renwed bullish interest in the prospects of the company in general (or in anticipation of the deal or a host of other reasons which TA's don't care about anyway when looking at the charts).
