Please report bugs and enhancements (BUGS)

andy.lovell - 04 Nov 2002 11:26

If you're having any problems, or want to suggest some improvements, please post below!

Level2 changes
In the last few weeks we've needed to implement some code changes to make us compliant with the LSE's rules on the access of Level2 data.

The following requirement is now in place:
You can only use 1 program on 1 computer to access Level2 on MoneyAM using a single username.

This means that you are able to view as many Level2 windows using any one particular browser, or program, that you wish, however you will not be able to use both Firefox and Internet Explorer at the same time (the same goes for using Quote Tracker or TradeSeeker at the same time as viewing it using a web browser)

If you find you're being logged off of MoneyAM's Level2 with the message 'you've logged on from another location' then check the above and make sure you're not running any other programs at the same time before reporting this as a bug.

Ian - I'm out of that window now. Will do next time it happens

Apologies for that it should now be back up and running at full speed,

Ian

I have three words in respect of that outage:

1) Sorry!

2) SODDING JAVA.

That's all.

Apologies for the inconvenience that caused :(

Thanks chaps.

dell314 - 24 Feb 2006 07:52 - 4422 of 7315

Morning.

Can you give your news provider a prod, as about 90% of this morning's RNS are missing.

Also, is there any chance that you could remove any post from this thread which is just someone trying to be funny, rather than discussion of a bug?
Trying to catch up with recent posts to see if any of them are particularly relevant becomes something of a chore, when various individuals seem to think the thread is a substitute for friendsreunited.

Many thanks,
dell

TullettJ (MoneyAM) - 24 Feb 2006 08:10 - 4423 of 7315

dell314,

Consider them poked.

Re: irrelevant posts: I don't find it so bad having the occasional chat post on this thread, it's more frustrating (from a finding them point of view) when people post about bugs or problems in whatever random thread they loaded at the time.

Why is the SEO RNS not showing please ??

dell314 - 24 Feb 2006 08:22 - 4425 of 7315

JTullet - thanks for prodding the news boys.

Re the other point, I'd imagine that yourself and the MoneyAM team use this thread continuously, so hardly notice a few off topic posts. However, one assumes that many others only come here when they have a problem, or to find out if there is any feedback on something they reported a month or two ago(Yeah, right!!).

i.e. This morning, there were around 120 posts, since I last looked in(which must be quite positive, as I obviously don't feel the need to moan very often!).
I could either use the recent button and miss any feedback that may be relevant to my previous queries, or have to read a large amount of drivel between the technical points.
I therefore maintain that blanking out irrelevant posts on this thread is a fine idea but it's your trainset!

Cheers,
dell

P.S. bhunt - If you read the two posts above yours, you'll appreciate that AM's news provider has most of the early RNS missing. Hemscott appears to have a full list, if that helps.

TullettJ (MoneyAM) - 24 Feb 2006 08:23 - 4426 of 7315

bhunt1910,

If you look at the question two posts above your one, and the answer just below it, you'll see the answer to yours.

RNS problem.

Our supplier is working to fix the problem. They'll be in touch when everything's working again.

dell134,

I'll raise your point with the others. I, personally, agree with it; perhaps it's the 'tidy' part of me that likes threads to all be on topic :)

J.

TullettJ (MoneyAM) - 24 Feb 2006 08:50 - 4429 of 7315

All,

RNS is back again. Sorry for the inconvenience the lack of it may have caused.

J.

bhunt1910 - 24 Feb 2006 08:53 - 4430 of 7315

Sorry about that - still had sleep in my eyes - my excuse anyway

Andy - 24 Feb 2006 16:40 - 4431 of 7315

Iant,

Just a quick question.

I started the FDI thread last year, and put 2005 in the header.

This one

Is there anyway that the "2005" can be removed from the header please?
Or if not, changed to "2006", or changed to "2005 - to date", something like that.

I want to keep the thread, but the 2005 sort of dates it.

TIA.

Andy.
