Bought into IVE this morning, purely on speculation only... small time though. Don't know much about them though ! in for a penny in for a pound and all that.
Got out of TPG (dead loss and falling away fast)

Buy-recommended Cimarex Energy (XEC) is taking advantage of its operating and financial strength to acquire promising shale gas acreage in western Oklahoma from Chesapeake Energy (CHK) for $180 million. The acquired leases cover most of the same land where XEC has already participated in 18 of the 23 industry wells drilled to tap natural gas in the Woodford Shale formation.
The low-debt, cash-rich buyer will use internal funds to acquire an asset from a cash-strapped seller at an opportune time. Cimarex may ultimately spend $2 billion in the Woodford area to develop more than a trillion cubic feet of reserves over the next decade. Meanwhile XEC is reducing the number of drilling rigs it employs currently in order to keep spending within cash flow generation. Some well projects in the Texas Panhandle and in West Texas would be marginal at $6 a million btu, should natural gas price drop to that level.
While we keep estimated net present value (NPV) at $100 a share, investors can readily make an approximation that the McDep Ratio of 0.44 implies that XEC stock is priced for oil at $44 a barrel and natural gas at little more than $6 a million btu. Current futures prices for the next six years are more than $80 a barrel and almost $8 a million btu. XEC Chairman Mick Merelli has shown in the past that tough times can be times of opportunity for the well-run company.

More paper issued.......fundraising = dilution
Should put a floor under 0.25 pence per share, or will it?
(posted a couple of days late as it seems to have been missed by the regulars here)
POG still dropping steadily since my last posting of the graph, of course it will go back up one day.

Is this another firm going bust? have already had three big losers this year BRR,THR & AIMR.
I still believe in the company but that doesn't mean squat if the markets disagree.
Still holding.

robert - funding is the big issue. IVE has raised enough to get through about another nine months and is seeking either to sell some assets or a merger. Hopefully they can raise enough to unlock the situation regarding their dispute with Metro over cost over runs which, in turn, has resulted in the Gas Rock revolving credit facility being frozen. The IVE directors have taken most if not all of the recent emergency placing, so they seem to have faith in a positive outcome.
all imo and dyor

Why not try a dummy buy? Mind you, I'm not taking the risk of putting any more cash in till the above is resolved.

cant deal in these on-line, have to phone up. too much of a cheapskate to do that unless definitely investing. there is no rush if it goes down further may consider topping up a bit more seriously. if not will just sit and hold.
Was only looking to purchase 61k shares to make 100k shares and average down. as i paid 880 for the first 29k you can see why i thought about averaging down at these prices.

Hi oilwatch - this is another one I exited before my shirt got taken.
Lots of prooblems for these small E&P's, the funding issues have not helped and taken with the halving or more of the price of gas, and the diminishing POO no one wants to touch them with a barge pole for finance.
That said I still have a couple, so far untouched by the downtrend of the sector, but that's all and otherwise out of the market.
I'll look around again if and when the POO hits $25 as some seem to expect it doing.
Good luck to you.
