World cup 2010, What chances for the Home sides and Ireland !. (2010)

required field - 12 Oct 2008 18:43

Thought I'd start a football blog, we might keep this going until 2010.....England doing well....did not see the match or even the goals....I'd like Michael owen back in the squad though....and I think Peter Crouch would make a very good substitute...remember against Argentina in Geneva a few years ago....with Michael Owen and some very good movements on and off the ball...they caused havoc.....did see Scotland's missed chance....that could be very costly losing those 2 points !.

i only read bbc sport websites or google football in your country but there seems a lot of discontent in your country as scotland it seems can only get inferior people to play for them as quite a few of the good players wont play.

are there not good scottish players in other foreign countries?

congrats on good news with ur son

I think Asterix Arsene Wenger's magic potion is working again because the Gunners detroyed the Toffees...what a scoreline ! 1-6 away...!.

Spurs and the Gunners have pulled a double over the liver birds....I can't remember when that last happened....

Just in case anyone missed it.

The usual tripe about how bad Man U were in the media, but full credit to the magnificent Clarets for a merited performance and Result.

Did not see any of the Celtic-Arsenal game but I understand that both goals went in off players into the net...the Bhoys were a little unlucky.

Good morning all>

As we start a new season with the usual high expectationsI thought it would be interesting to breeze through some of last seasons postsI did not realise I was so severely blasted for predicting Harry would sign Defoe.or Defoe would be proved our best goalscorer.or Spurs would finish well above Pompeyand go onto far better things under Harry even though they sat at the bottom with just a couple of pointsmaybe when I said Harry is the best English Manager aboutor possibly my belief in Roy Hodgsonwho has achieved the miracle of all miraclesnever mind I am used to getting stick on these bbs and I do give it out sometimesBTW I am a West Ham nut!One for you Trig. How many of the English team had West Ham connections the other nightI dont know the answer but broadly speaking in round figuresand with a certain amount of guessworkI would say quite a few.

Caught up on the posts (and results) since returning from holiday - pleased with my team, and equally the feats of spurs ( v murderers) and Burnley (v mancs). Be interesting to see how long spurs keep this good start going.

Note Arsenal popped one or two in at Everton, and suspect the Portsmouth keeper may end up with back ache in a few hours time.

Astounded that Celtic made it through to meet the Arse, but clearly there CL time is fortunately coming to an end (and whats all this debate over scottish football about - surely his heart is in Ireland ?)

Joe Say - 25 Aug 2009 07:14 - 460 of 1154

So the club with history is slowly being consigned to the exact same place.

What a wonderful day.

Forgot to say "bravo" to the England cricket team....anyway I see that the football hooligans are at it again ! how do you describe such a tribe of morons.....

required field - 26 Aug 2009 20:57 - 462 of 1154

Saw some of the first half of Arsenal-Celtic....pretty dull and uninspiring...the Gunners are incredibly lucky at the moment.....how they fill a stadium with not much at stake ...(to come back from 2 down is a mountain to climb) is astonishing....football very popular in England at the moment....
