Sequestor: there always seems to be someone around who has sold too early and hangs around hoping the sp will come back to either where he sold it or at some intermediate price. For heaven's sake, buy back some and then top up if it does come back or top up if there is a positive announcement next week. Re-join the club. We are happy to have you on board and never wanted to expel you. This is a really seasoned guy speaking and hardened in the school of hard knocks!

You 'd have to be mad to sell for 6 016622 !!

jimmy b - 20 May 2005 11:04 - 4443 of 27111

I was tempted to sell yesterday when the bid was over 30p and try to get back in , but the problem is if there is an announcement then the train leaves without you. I am however on tender hooks until that comes and there is a done deal, then i will tuck my holding away and relax..JB..

016622 - 20 May 2005 11:06 - 4444 of 27111

same here...i've got a tight stop loss and a buy order @ 31 but who knows really... a bit of hard news wouldnt be amiss right now

Chiva20 - 20 May 2005 11:14 - 4445 of 27111

Will be interesting to see if there is a tick up in anticipation of Monday at the end of today. Wow Eric 6 would be tastey. Careful with the tight stop losses 016622, I've been burnt heavily by that you're vulnerable to a tree shake before the real news much better place it around 24p or less ( I guess - mine are all 18p and trailing) life is so much less 'twitchy'

016622 - 20 May 2005 11:16 - 4446 of 27111

thanks for the advice Chiva

016622 - 20 May 2005 11:19 - 4447 of 27111

you could see an almight run towards the end of the day on speculation of Monday / News. Gives everybody a bit of time to get down the building society!

Whenever you get the tendency to sell just read the research page set up on this thread its so reassuring that it almost tempts you to add more.....

niceonecyril - 20 May 2005 11:32 - 4449 of 27111

ER
Totally agree with you, regarding selling. As i stated on an earlier post,
sold 20% for a nice profit. I'll be happy if positive news is released as
this would make my other 80% worth an whole lot more.
Top slicing is a good protection against no news, so don't cry if the sp
rises, accept it and look on the bright side.
regards
cyril

I had a later start, but look at the time I got home, And if I had 1m shares I wouldnt be talking to you cheap skates. Then again it's only money.

Being one of the army of small investors in SEO and rather concerned at recent events lacking positive reasoning, here is a welcome reminder of what not to do on bb's and what the result could be if your posted info is substantially misleading.

I'm not even going to think about selling any shares below 1 - if that takes 2-3 years then so be it. Big rewards come to those who wait...I'm thinking in terms of years not months, weeks or days. If the story remains good hold on for the long term. Just imagine owning thousands of shares paying a div of 1-2pence. So unreasonable for the company to be making those sorts of profits in the future? Obviously if things go drastically wrong then keep abreast of events and act accordingly. I do read this thread regularly, its the main reason I have added to my holding, topping up 6 times from 10p - 20p. I'm happy with my holding and am now going to wait for things to develop as inevitably they will. I like all the excitement, but never get too worried with temporary falls/adjustments in the SP. Stocks never go up in a straight line!

Hi cyril nice to have you on board, good first post, you may have trouble reading mien I have to get up at 4, yes I know but some one has to.

eric: Re Frogpack
In the view of the fact that Protective packaging demand in the US will grow 5.2 percent annually through 2008 (US alone) and is worth $2.7 billion to the protective packaging industry. I think your 100m deal with Tetrapak looks a bit cheap.

Info above is taken from the research page, updated.

Nice one 1957, I thought I was the only one working out my future divi's.

I know you werent aiming that post at me Re, BB'S.

The Research page has no opinion on it just facts, quite ironic though I use to have Trafficmaster shares.
That share did rocket it didn't need any help from Mr Isaacs.

superrod - 20 May 2005 14:43 - 4458 of 27111

my trigger finger was a bit itchy yesterday and i bought 39k by mistake. managed to sell today for a 4 quid loss. wish i had the balls to hang in with that accidental trade, but the shit could soooooo easily hit the fan.

not knocking by any means but no-one seems to see any downside here. IF it goes tits up ( and i cant see why it would ), there will be an awful lot of unhappy bunnies who think early retirement is a couple of clicks away.

no comment required from the shrewd punters in at 4p

well done to all of you. i still have 52k ave 14.9p.

EWRobson - 20 May 2005 14:48 - 4459 of 27111

driver: re frogpack. I said a few hundred million, not 100 million, plus some royalty payments. Perhaps they could return a quid or so to investors so we don't have to sell any shares!

Nice trading and chart. Could be some profit trading to bring it back a bit but suspect that will be overcome by buying on expectations of an RNS. Still not convinced that that will come so soon but, unless there is an outright denial which they should give if the rumours are ill-founded, I suspect the speculation will just build. Could be back testing the 30p resistance level.

Driver, you are right, I wasn't aiming at you. Exactly as I said, we have had a very sharp rise for no apparent substantiated reason and in my book, it's the small investors that suffer the most when misleading information appears. In my last telcon with Howard White, some short while ago when ii first appeared, he explained to me that it was not in Stanelco's interest, PR wise or financially, to chase miscreant posters through court proceedings especially when the FSA can do the job quite adequately. My post was really to make some of our Stanelco supporters take stock of what is happening, be wary and not be dragged along with the tide unless they are strong swimmers.
