Yes Dick.
It seems tad's low key approach to this MCI deal is at the behest of MCI otherwise we would, I am sure, be seeing more pr from the company.
Imo this can only mean one thing, MCI really do want to gain market share with this product otherwise why keep it so hush hush.

From my post on ADVFN

Just some info that may or not be in the realms of tad's orbit. From MCV (gaming insiders mag) The new handheld GIZMONDO contains GPS and GPRS WITH MAPPING SOFTWARE. With Cartesias as a supplier to OS this might be linked further down the chain. As to the rumour that Tadpole were linked to a games supplier, with relevence to secure downloads, some figures, again from the MCV are interesting AOL, new download service had 50,000 in the first month, Sony has 60m products in homes in the PAL regions alone. 50,000 by 12 is 600,000 and if all PS1+2 downloaded just one game in a year that is 60m times whatever Endevours gets per download. Even at a few cents a pop it adds up.

The tracking side of the GIZMONDO, market by toys r us appeals to parents who want to find out where their kids are, and as such i will re-produce this post on the CYH thread as it's a telematics company making the device.

Cheers,

Paleface

Looks very interesting paleface.

Well. I've said it before and I'll say it again now, I don't think the market is going to take any notice of TAD until they start to announce $$$$. The media are all over Blue chip news, perhaps smaller companies whose products are more exciting, but TAD, no news. Perhaps once the next interim with bullish statement is made public we'll see some positive movement.

I have to admit, I was hoping for a peak so I could sell and then buy back in at a lower price, mainly because I'd like to draw out some money for ME. I suppose I'll just have to wait. Hrrrmph!

Have a great weekend all,

Highride.

now tad is quoted on the tech100 maybe a few venture caps or institutions might take a look. they only punt maybe a 100k on a small cap like tad but it will act like rocket fuel.

tbrooking66 - 13 Jun 2004 09:53 - 453 of 2262

MAM must have been a bit on the ball?

dickdasterdly10000 - 14 Jun 2004 15:56 - 462 of 2262

probably more like him being too retarded to cover his tracks

Yuff - you will note the Miner & Miner webiste has been updated with 3 new contract wins in the last week - appears that business is brisk in the GIS world and esp. for one of our most important partners

Moneylender - 14 Jun 2004 16:06 - 463 of 2262

Dick

If M&M get a contract, does that automatically include us?
I could do my own research here but I know you specialise in ESRI/GISand you are our reident expert!!

TIA

dickdasterdly10000 - 14 Jun 2004 16:14 - 464 of 2262

M

don't know - HP has always refused to confirm/deny - who knows if we get a fixed royalty or a per seat payment

all we know is that Magi is embedded in Designer and ARCFM as standard and therefore the implication is if they sell then we sell

we also seem to get a fair share of Go! Sync sales in partnership with Miner & Miner and in fact developed it with them. I note the recent JEA $500k contract had them as one of the other partners. Hence if they sign new contracts then it can't harm us.

I was thinking more along the lines of the sales plus the upgrade in Trimble's earnings being indicative of the corporate handbrake being removed on spending. Certainly TAD mentioned in the finals that IT spending for Cartesia had been sluggish and that market condtions had only just started to improve.

Moneylender - 14 Jun 2004 16:18 - 465 of 2262

Cheers mate.

Would you want to give an estimate forcast for the figures for the intrims.

dickdasterdly10000 - 14 Jun 2004 16:25 - 466 of 2262

Cartesia turnover of 3.0m and Profit of 1.5m

ETI Turnover of 500k and loss of 1m

Central costs of 1m

Total Loss of 0.5m
