"A big black and gold bee with red wings?" ??!!??!! They're called hornets, aren't they? Not being an apiculturist, I can't judge the value of this particular tip, BUT:

At 13p x 700 mil shares, BLR would have a market cap of 90 mil. These things are certainly possible; the NAV (NPV) of BLR's share in Bukhara could be worth over 80 mil, maybe even 100 mil depending upon the valuation method used, if the oil is commmercial. The North Sea plus other Colombian assets also look good. ("Stop ramping, Soul!" "Oh, if I must . . . !" :o)

For all the people complaining about not been given a chance to buy like the instituions well they were on sale for less than the instituions paid yesterday morning! Everyone was free to help themselves at just over 1p a share.
BLR raised the money in the cheapest way possible and as share holders we have to be happy about that.
Did notice that BLR state steaming to increase production 3 or 5 times initial rates where-as they said 5 to 10 times initial rates before. We shall see!
They never mentioned any water so that is a positive point and I am happy to hold long term now as money in place for the near future and plenty of action over the next six months!

soul & silvermede, thanks, I had read all the posts and extracts from this thread and on oilbarrel.com as previously suggested but I didn't buy when it shot up >50%after the magazine tip. When <1.2p appeared again thanks to some profit-taking followed by fund-raising I just needed to remind myself why it was on my watchlist.Its not anymore, its in the portfolio.So far a reasonable thread with good comment both ways, hope it stays that way!!

Rutherford, re water: "Arce 3 tested 30 bopd with constant water cut. Arce 4 testing at present." (page 12 of the new presentation document). I'm inclined to assume that Arce 4 is also producing some water, but in similar fashion to Arce 3 and not in such a way as to be problematic.

Agree your comments about the fundraising.

"Black Rock Oil & Gas closed up 0.25p at 1.2p as the Aim-listed explorer announced that its Arce 4 well in Colombia is flowing 30.5 barrels of oil a day without any pressure being applied. Flow rates are expected to increase by three to five times in the coming months with the field in commercial production "around the turn of the year".

Amir, my sincere apologies, I was attempting to be humorous. My own holding of BLR is very much more modest. The pool party is more likely to be a bring-your-own-bottle affair at Bournemouth beach. In November. Sorry.

Getting slightly more serious, I don't know what your investment strategy is, but personally I would not be inclined to buy BLR on as short a term as 10 days - I assume you're referring to CFD's or similar? I am holding long, probably for a year or three as in the very short-term this share is way too unpredictable. Sometimes it has gone up by over 50% on good news; at other times, like currently, it has done very little. You'll have noticed that it hasn't yet developed a continuous uptrend. The placing might have put the brakes on the SP this time around, in spite of the large volume of stock traded in the past couple of days after the operational update came through. The good news is that the share is still affordable, IMO. My average cost is 1.5p. I'd have added more in the last few days but the truth is I'm fairly heavy in this stock already.

For an idea of timescale, it might be useful to look at companies like JKX which started off as tiddlers and then went seriously multi-bagger. It took a period of about 3 years. I do not think that BLR will get as big as JKX is at present unless some very aggressive expansion takes place, but you might well be looking at holding for that kind of length of time if you want to get that kind of return in percentage terms.
