Israeli Gaza conflict?????? (GAZA)

Fred1new - 06 Jan 2009 19:21

Will this increase or decrease the likelihood of terrorist actions in America, Europe and the rest of the world?

If you were a member of a family murdered in this conflict, would you be seeking revenge?

Should Tzipi Livni and Ehud Olmert, be tried for war crimes if or when this conflict comes to an end?

What will the price of oil be in 4 weeks time?

"They have done it before !"

And settlers have killed Palestinians before as well. And settlers have killed other settlers as well.

There will be no peace between Israel and the Palestinians until Israel changes its attitude and rights some of the many wrongs done to Palestians.

Fayyad is not legally the Prime Minister anyway. The Hamas leader Ismail Haniyeh is the legally elected Prime Minister. In 2007 President Mahmoud Abbas dismissed Haniyeh and appointed Fayyad as Prime Minster. This is not legally valid as Abbas has no such powers. The result is that now Palestine has two 'Prime Minsters', only one of whom is legally valid.

Abbas and Fayyad are quite a pair. Abbas is a president whose term in office expired several years ago (he was only made President as a temporary measure as part of the Oslo accord). Fayyad only received 2% of the vote and had to be 'appointed' illegally by Abbas.

Abbas is in power because George W. Bush and Condaleeza Rice told him to stay, even though his term in office had expired.

Fayyad, who ran in the January 2006 parliamentary election at the head of the Third Way list, won only two seats. His number two, Hanan Ashrawi, has since abandoned him, making him the head of a one-man party.

Abbas was forced to appoint Fayyad as prime minister only because of pressure from the Americans and Europeans, who threatened to suspend financial aid to the Palestinian Authority if the Palestinian president failed to comply.

Fayyad's government was never approved by the Palestinian parliament, known as the Palestinian Legislative Council, as required by the Palestinian Basic Law.

Any agreement Abbas and Fayyad bring back home will be seen by many Palestinians as the fruit of "extortion" and "threats" and not as the result of peace talks that were conducted in good faith.

Don't pin you hopes on Fayyad as he is a US puppet.

Ongoing bloodshed, other than drawing attention to the confrontation, is of no use to anyone.

Haystack - 25 Mar 2011 18:40 - 4680 of 6906

I suspect that Hamas may be trying to up the stakes by goading Israel into violence (a very easy thing to do). The intention may be to focus the attention of other nearby countries more strongly onto Gaza. Not a bad strategy if it is true.

Not for the families who lose a relative.

But, sadly, it is all relative.

Dr. Nabil Al-Arabi, The Egyptian foreign minister, has warned Thursday the Israeli occupation authorities not to attempt to repeat the adventure in Gaza Strip, stressing that any Israeli military escalation against Gaza people will be unacceptable, sources in Egypt reported.

Arabi made his remarks during a meeting with Ravi Barak, the director-general of the Israeli foreign ministry, during his visit to Cairo Thursday, the sources said, adding that Arabi made it clear to Barak that any Israeli aggression on the densely populated Strip would produce counterproductive repercussions on the entire region.

Arabi also criticized Israeli policies towards the Palestinians, especially the threats being made by high ranking Israeli military officers to carry out another military aggression on the Strip dubbing it Cast Lead 2.

He also lashed out at remarks uttered by Amos Gilad, the head of the political and security department in the Israeli war ministry, who said that the peace treaty between Israel and Egypt won't last, explaining that the Israeli aggression towards Palestinian civilians and the wrong Israeli policies against the Palestinian people would destroy the entire peace process.

Are you trying to convince yourself, parrot? LOL
Do you enjoy sitting on Fred's shoulder?
At least he can come up with his own ideas, however warped.
This is of course why you spend your life copying and pasting. You can't think for yourself so you search for propaganda to regurgitate.
People like you are what is wrong in the world.
Hatred, intolerance, only seeing one side, refusing to be objective, spouting war war war demanding other countries should be wiped out.
The real dregs of humanity.
Heil hay crapper

Go on, off you go to Gaza you armchair hate monger.
All mouth. Do something. Be a shahid.
Convert to Islam first otherwise you won't get those 76 virgins LOL
I suppose you think that poor Christian British missionary who was murdered yesterday in Jerusalem plus all the people maimed and wounded "deserved" it.
You are a sick piece of work.

Haystack - 25 Mar 2011 23:41 - 4685 of 6906

I can indeed only see one side. The side I see is Israel being expansionist in the same manner that Hitler adopted the Lebensraum concept of colonialism and turned it into colonialism within Europe to provide living space for the growing German race. The 'inferior' races were to be resettled in the manner in which Israel ressettles the Palestinians.

In The Land of the B - 25 Mar 2011 23:43 - 4686 of 6906

I suppose that is why 1.27 million Arabs live in Israel.
You really are a moron LOL

In The Land of the B - 25 Mar 2011 23:45 - 4687 of 6906

I suppose that is why peace with Egypt resulted in Israel giving back the entire Sinai, because Israel wanted more land.
You really are a moron LOL

Haystack - 25 Mar 2011 23:59 - 4688 of 6906

Israel is 75% Jewish - that's about 6m. Before Israel existed it was Arabs/Jews in to ratio of 3 to 1. Now the ratio is reversed. 850 000 Palestinians were living in the area that the UN designated to be Israel in 1948. By the winter of 1949 there were only 160,000. Since then Israel has taken more and more of the Palestinians land and seems intent on taking the whole of the West Bank.

Israel gave back the Sinai to get peace. It was Egypt's land anyway so it wasn't exactly a gift.

yuff - 28 Mar 2011 10:50 - 4693 of 6906

What a surprise that facist Hay agrees with rabid antisemite fahel LOL!!!

Haystack - 28 Mar 2011 11:22 - 4694 of 6906

The video is not anti semitic. It is anti Israel. Quite a difference. It is interesting that any anti Israel comments are regarded as anti semetic by fanatics in the same way that any comments or actions against Afghanistan or Iraq etc are regarded as anti Islam by another set of fanatics. Of course they are both wrong and just as stupid as each other.

Fred1new - 28 Mar 2011 13:56 - 4696 of 6906

YUff,

What is your definition of anti-Semite?

Just like to know.

Haystack - 28 Mar 2011 15:44 - 4697 of 6906

ITLOTB
You seem to be a classic example of these fanatics. Anyone who does not agree with Israel is anti-Semitic, which of course is clearly not true. Your grasp of logic seems to be very loose. Even when people do not make anti-Semitic remarks and say that they are NOT anti-Semitic, you know best. It is in every way the same as the Muslim fundamentalists who scream anti-Islam and want to bomb people. There really is no hope for sad people like you. Even people within Israel say the things I say and a lot worse. There is also a large secular part of Israel that disapproves of its policies.
