THE TALK TO YOURSELF THREAD. (NOWT)

goldfinger - 09 Jun 2005 12:25

Thought Id start this one going because its rather dead on this board at the moment and I suppose all my usual muckers are either at the Stella tennis event watching Dim Tim (lose again) or at Henly Regatta eating cucumber sandwiches (they wish,...NOT).

Anyway please feel free to just talk to yourself blast away and let it go on any company or subject you wish. Just wish Id thought of this one before.

cheers GF.

american gun laws are generally preposterously weak, but there is a certain justice that one may shoot an intruder without fear of prosecution provided he is not running away

i wouldn't like to see freedom to shoot in this country, but certainly i see nothing wrong with whacking an intruder with whatever heavy implement comes to hand (handbags might suit several here!) ..... but not sue how/where one then draws the line

Well I think one chap in South Africa has a good chance of getting away with murder.

goldfinger - 08 Oct 2014 08:50 - 47024 of 81564

Chap on Twitter say they were going to target a supermarket block the doors and then start beheading. Jesus, they are mad men.

VICTIM - 08 Oct 2014 09:00 - 47025 of 81564

goldfinger - 08 Oct 2014 09:03 - 47026 of 81564

It's a very important day today - the 'The Final of Great British Bake Off'.

There are three excellent finalists:

Richard Burr (no web site) remains the firm favourite to take home the Great British Bake Off crown tonight but Luis Troyano and Nancy Birthwhistle could still win the competition.

The favourite in our household is the builder, Richard Burr.

I think it might be significant that Richard Burr still doesn't have a web site. Luis Troyano does have one and it is fully finished and up and running.

Nancy Birthwhistle has one but it is still under construction.

Now since the Final was filmed in June (but all of the contestants have been under strict instructions not to reveal the eventual winner) they have all had plenty of time to get this done so it surely just has to be Luis Troyano wot won it.

But we still want it to be Richard. :-)

I think I would round up all car drivers and shoot them,

They kill and maim everyday.

I am thinking of starting a petition!

Fred1new - 08 Oct 2014 09:08 - 47031 of 81564

The media is very quiet about Clacton.

Has it been paid for silence?

This is his real problem and it leaves a bad taste in the mouths of many previous lib voters.

It was a crazy move!

goldfinger - 08 Oct 2014 09:22 - 47034 of 81564

Back in the lead Fred no need to panic.........

today’s Populus poll still shows a robust Labour lead, as did their Friday poll – CON 31%, LAB 37%, LDEM 8%, UKIP 15%

Hays had a good week, but its now over for the poor lad.

goldfinger - 08 Oct 2014 09:23 - 47035 of 81564

People seeing through Camorons lies once again, but cant help thinking Vince must have helped them see the error of their ways.

VICTIM - 08 Oct 2014 09:30 - 47037 of 81564

Don't know why, but iv'e got this image of Alastair Sim in my mind when I see your post's Fred .

Fred1new - 08 Oct 2014 09:31 - 47038 of 81564

How many times am I allowed to repeat p 47036?

today’s Populus poll still shows a robust Labour lead, as did their Friday poll – CON 31%, LAB 37%, LDEM 8%, UKIP 15%

Haze panic. Panic. Panic. Mansion tax is on its way.

Get rid of Cameron, He is a loser.

I would vote for Dr Spock and Pat Cash for tory leader.

MaxK - 08 Oct 2014 09:32 - 47039 of 81564

Well, Millibandus has been very quiet, which probably accounts for the lead.

Just wait till he starts spouting bollox.

Also, we have the election manana, that should set the cat amongst the pigeons :-)

VICTIM - 08 Oct 2014 09:34 - 47040 of 81564

I think Haystacks maybe nipped down to Clacton to help out tomorrow .Do you think.

Fred1new - 08 Oct 2014 09:36 - 47041 of 81564

Wait for Manuel to tell us nobody knows what the result will be!

I can see the tax man valuing his part of the "Thames Embankment" already!
