THE TALK TO YOURSELF THREAD. (NOWT)

goldfinger - 09 Jun 2005 12:25

Thought Id start this one going because its rather dead on this board at the moment and I suppose all my usual muckers are either at the Stella tennis event watching Dim Tim (lose again) or at Henly Regatta eating cucumber sandwiches (they wish,...NOT).

Anyway please feel free to just talk to yourself blast away and let it go on any company or subject you wish. Just wish Id thought of this one before.

cheers GF.

Yep Hays has been full of it ................for a week he wont be so cocky now.

Bring on the MANSION TAX.

Fred1new - 08 Oct 2014 09:48 - 47045 of 81564

Max.

I think the interviews with Vince Cable have brought a cleaner more honest smell to politics than the Cameron spillage.

Still think Miliband is wise to keep his head down for another 4 or 5 months, which will allow the "stiff up lip brigade" of the Con party to continue with their self destruction!

For me, it is a pity Vince isn't 5-10 years younger.

If they bring in a mansion tax.

Will MP's be able to claim the cost back in expenses?

goldfinger - 08 Oct 2014 10:43 - 47047 of 81564

Well the Queen cant, but Im sure Milly will come up with something.

goldfinger - 08 Oct 2014 10:44 - 47048 of 81564

HAYS is QUIET TODAY, I wonder why.

Haystack - 08 Oct 2014 10:45 - 47049 of 81564

The Queen has to pay the mansion tax on Windsor, Sandringham etc. She may need a pay rise.

Fred1new - 08 Oct 2014 10:48 - 47050 of 81564

I think she must be one of the asset rich cash poor brigade.

I would be in favour of a trimming of Royal purse.

UKIP are welcome to Clacton. It is a dump and has all the attributes that would attract UKIP voters and similar loonies. Perhaps all kippers could move there and we could cut Clacton adrift into the North sea. They could all run around in a panic in case it made landfall in Europe. Definitely a case of independence for Clacton.

goldfinger - 08 Oct 2014 11:00 - 47053 of 81564

Ha ha filtered my bottom, it always works Hays.

goldfinger - 08 Oct 2014 11:01 - 47054 of 81564

The Queen wont pay the mansion tax on her houses that are open to the public at certain times of the year.

VICTIM - 08 Oct 2014 11:03 - 47055 of 81564

You mean your not going there on your hols this year then.

MaxK - 08 Oct 2014 11:03 - 47056 of 81564

haha, how times have changed...Clacton was a safe-ish tory seat, now it's full of loonies. :-)

goldfinger - 08 Oct 2014 11:05 - 47057 of 81564

Lovely place Clacton. Very upper class.

aldwickk - 08 Oct 2014 11:14 - 47061 of 81564
