Israeli Gaza conflict?????? (GAZA)

Fred1new - 06 Jan 2009 19:21

Will this increase or decrease the likelihood of terrorist actions in America, Europe and the rest of the world?

If you were a member of a family murdered in this conflict, would you be seeking revenge?

Should Tzipi Livni and Ehud Olmert, be tried for war crimes if or when this conflict comes to an end?

What will the price of oil be in 4 weeks time?

The Israeli military intelligence's department of studies and research said in a report that Hamas Movement adapts with the changes in the world and has become impossible to eliminate.

This came in a report written by specialist in security and military sciences Isaac Ben-Israel, who work for the Israeli military intelligence (Aman) in the department of studies and research.

The report talks about how Hamas, according to facts, has become stronger politically, militarily and at the security level.

Ben-Israel's study points out that the Hamas-affiliated government, since the Hamas takeover in 2007 and until today, has been durable and flourishing, especially as a result of the diplomatic efforts undertaken by head of Hamas's political bureau Khaled Mashaal and other members of the bureau.

The researcher affirmed in his report that the diplomatic moves made by Hamas officials in a number of countries like Damascus, Ankara, Sana'a, Khartoum and Doha confirm that this Movement has evolved into a political system with a state.

"This means that the chances to eradicate it are no longer available, but if we want to be frank with ourselves, we will say it is hard," he added.

At the security level, his study acknowledges that the Hamas-affiliated security forces are strong and experienced and was able to frustrate a lot of Israeli activities that aimed to overthrow the government of Ismail Haneyya.

The young people inside Hamas have become aware of the plots made by the Shabak and the like, developed experience and got extensive security sessions, so their work is professional and not chaotic, the study stressed.

Haystack - 04 Apr 2011 03:15 - 4731 of 6906

Not by a long way.

The new Egyptian Foreign Minister Nabil al-Arabi has criticized the Egyptian position as Israel launches a new aggression on the Gaza Strip, saying a national security council consisting of foreign ministers and experts should have been created to deal with the position in Gaza.

He added: We will not be a strategic treasure for Israel as they used to say during the time of Mubarak.

All you do is contribute criticism of other posters.

In The Land of the B - 04 Apr 2011 13:00 - 4736 of 6906

Not so.
Read my posts.
All you do is "contribute" criticism of Israel and want it destroyed - (and endless copy and paste).

Of course it is news. It may not be news that you like, but does that matter? I think not.

In The Land of the B - 04 Apr 2011 15:21 - 4742 of 6906

Do you get the rest of your "news" from Der Sturmer ?

Others will understand why you are a nazi.
You are not objective - and proud of that !
You want the only state mainly populated by Jews wiping off the map (you don't say that about any largely Christian, Muslim, Hindu, secular state in the world).....Anti-Semite
You claim every single item of propaganda churned out by terrorist organisations is "news".
You want war not peace.
Heil Hitler
Heil Hayes
Nazi.

Haystack - 04 Apr 2011 19:52 - 4743 of 6906

The problem with Israel is not what religion they are based on. It is that they have stolen another people's land. How can you be objective about that? There is no logical argument about stealing land. The Palesinians were not consulted before their land was partioned and given away.

Don't forget that most of Israel's politicians were 'terrorists' once. I suppose that explains why they behave so badly now. They had no excuse for their terrorism. No one was stealing ther land at the time. In fact it was just the opposite. Does your logic mean that I would be right to criticise Israel if there were two Jewish states? I can't see that the number of Jewish states changes anything about Israel's oppression of Palestinians.

Fred1new - 04 Apr 2011 20:00 - 4744 of 6906

cynic - 05 Apr 2011 08:40 - 4746 of 6906

now let's try to post something sensible here ...... unfortunately, this whole thread lacks objectivity (most assuredly) and thus credibility (with most) ..... i may also c+p to the libya thread, though it's not strictly to do with that specific

sitting here in dubai, it gives a good opportunity to read Gulf News, many of whose articles are interesting and taken (and attributed!) from other sources

Iran
if it weren't so serious, it would be hilarious ..... ahmadinejad has the gall to berate gcc (the gulf states) for interfering in bahrain ..... inter alia, about bahrain, he says "the people have demands, so listen to them" - just as his mob would in tehran i take it!

ahmedinejad also takes the opportunity for his usual rabid rant against israel and his wish for its destruction ..... interestingly, the iranian constitution safeguards the right of freedom of worship within iran .... political words can claim the one has nothing to do with the other, but the reality speaks otherwise

Egypt
there is clearly great fear among the educated egyptian populace, that the muslim brotherhood - islamic fundamentalist at heart, and in its own way rather like the ira - will eventually take over ..... it is thought that mb is too fragmented to make too great an impact in the forthcoming elections, but by the time of the next ones in 2015, the situation may well be different

Libya
a partisan article from official rep to usa of the rebel "gov't" - quicker than writing Transitional National Council for the Libyan Republic! - says they need material help desperately
lots of promises about what "their" gov't would do and allow - e.g. free elections; free press; lots of welfare; no toleration of al qaeda etc etc
