When the Tories insist that our country is on the right track or claim that there is no cost-of-living crisis, they just prove they are on the wrong side of the bulk of British people who know the recovery has not, for all the ministerial boasting, touched their lives.

There are a lot of different views about how many seats UKIP will get. If the actual figures are at the bottom end of the range then UKIP will be in no position to be in a coalition with anyone.
