Please report bugs and enhancements (BUGS)

andy.lovell - 04 Nov 2002 11:26

If you're having any problems, or want to suggest some improvements, please post below!

Level2 changes
In the last few weeks we've needed to implement some code changes to make us compliant with the LSE's rules on the access of Level2 data.

The following requirement is now in place:
You can only use 1 program on 1 computer to access Level2 on MoneyAM using a single username.

This means that you are able to view as many Level2 windows using any one particular browser, or program, that you wish, however you will not be able to use both Firefox and Internet Explorer at the same time (the same goes for using Quote Tracker or TradeSeeker at the same time as viewing it using a web browser)

If you find you're being logged off of MoneyAM's Level2 with the message 'you've logged on from another location' then check the above and make sure you're not running any other programs at the same time before reporting this as a bug.

karnow,

remove that bookmark and re-bookmark fresh and you shouldn't have that problem any more.

I cannot download the Chartist article from the 'Shares Magazine'. Other articles are OK. My Adobe says there is a fault with the chartist article, thanks H

sutherlh1,

I will take a look,

Ian

sutherlh1,

I have just downloaded the chartist section with no problems - can you try saving it to your desktop when you get to the download and open it from there?

Might also want to update or download the latest version of Adobe if you haven't already, just to cover all the bases.

Thanks Ian, must be a problem with my machine, I am using dial up as away from home. Adobe updated when I read the other articles. I have saved it to desktop but I still get the adobe message 'There was an error opening this document. The file is damaged and could not be repaired' I will try to get on broadband later today to see if that helps, H

I have just tried it again to double check and agin no problems, so it is looking like something at your end - let me know how you get on later.

My L2 now saying you have logged on from another computer, I also kept getting site down messages an hour ago. Now trading blind.....

Deeply unhappy. Edit L2 back now, but no idea why this should happen.

IanT(MoneyAM) - 04 May 2006 13:45 - 4782 of 7315

Seymour,

We have had no downtime today, and the only thing I can imagine is causing the 'logged in from another computer' issue would be the cookie. When convenient, could you log out and back in, clear temp internet files, and if possible delete cookies.

Let me know how you get on.

I think I lost connection from my wireless router for a moment but that's all. Got to get back to work now :-((

IanT(MoneyAM) - 04 May 2006 13:49 - 4784 of 7315

OK Seymour,

I would try the steps above at a convenient time anyway, just to make sure there wasn't any caching issue.

I got the L2 'logged in from another computer' message again today about 10 minutes ago on my Terminal windows. Logged out and logged back in first thing this morning again, so it doesn't really seem to be solving it. But this time I was able to get the windows back just by pressing the refresh button in the Terminal sub-window - although previously this hasn't always worked.

Kyoto,

Thanks for the feedback on that.

Ian, managed to open the Chartist article from another computer, thanks H

sutherlh1,

glad to hear it - looks like it was something on the other pc - try unistalling and re installing adobe if you need to download it on the machine in the future.

Morning, When logging on in the morning I have a warning pop up stating the security certificate for your site is invalid, I believe its the .co.uk

IanT(MoneyAM) - 05 May 2006 08:09 - 4790 of 7315

guvnor,

We will take a look, but it should be fine - can you check the time and date in the bottom right hand corner of your screen, as if this is wrong it can cause this issue.

Ian

IanT(MoneyAM) - 05 May 2006 08:11 - 4791 of 7315

Guvnor,

If this isn't the cause, JT has said he will be able to fix it, but in the meantime, you should use the moneyam.com address not .co.uk

Ian

TullettJ (MoneyAM) - 05 May 2006 08:41 - 4792 of 7315

Guvnor,

The problem is that you are using the .co.uk address and not the .com.

I'll be making some changes on Monday which should eliminate this issue, in the meanwhile, go here and it should go away.

ok thanks

greekman - 08 May 2006 11:21 - 4794 of 7315

Every time I click on a link such as stockwatch, then onto investors, or even to earlier threads I have to re-log in. I can see from previous posts that this has been a problem for a few days. Any idea when the problem will be rectified.

I even had difficulty posting this.

Thanks greekman
