Thought I'd start a new thread as this is going to be a major talking point this year...have not made up my mind yet...(unlike bucksfizz)....but thinking of voting for an exit as Europe is not doing Britain any good at all it seems....

At the moment Labour would appear to be in a mess.

Interesting to watch and see if Labour they will stop their schoolboy behaviour and sort out their future policies, which would be acceptable to the majority of voters.

Mind they still have time to do so and god knows what the mess the UK will be in after another 4years of tory failures and misrule. (Or how much has been purloined by them.)

A bit like in the con party, at the present time, the leadership of labour seem more interested in their own internecine behaviour than the future direction of the country as a whole.

Libs, unfortunately paying the penalties of trusting the con party and help in forming a coalition government. But, perhaps they have the inner strength from ground level organisation to produce acceptable policies for its future.

During his three years at the helm in Threadneedle Street Carney has seen his authority continuously eroded by mistaken economic forecasts and misguided political interventions. It is a process that culminated this summer in his aggressive attacks on the case for Brexit during the Referendum campaign.

Now, in the aftermath of our heroic vote for freedom, he remains trapped in his cocoon of gloom. Having wilfully tried to foster a climate of anxiety over the British economy, he heightened the febrile mood last week with a scheme that seems likely to undermine consumer confidence and damage stability.

Ho dear....Haystack is under the impression that there is only one opinion,
and that opinion has to eminate from some smoke filled dank commitee
room filled with arrogant morons who believe they know whats best for us
plebs.

And if us plebs have different views and opinions from the ruling establishment,
in haystacks and his cronies eyes we're "all idiots and racist"..

And their bitterness at their figurehead, the snake oil salesman, cameron having
to resign after his disasterous and treacherous behaviour in the pre-Brexit 'reform'
negotiations and subsequent scaremongering...

personally i would have deemed corbyn to be the treacherous one, as he patently refused to back the wishes of his party

Cameron's mistake was having the referendum. Apart from that he was an excellent PM.

i would not rate DC very highly, though he should not be blamed for his inability to get any meaningful concessions from the eu plutocracy ..... i'm afraid that quest was always going to be a lost cause

I am hoping this will end 20 years of what i like to call arrogant politics ,starting with Blair and finishing with Cameron and his silly little sidekick Osbourne .

They have had complete contempt for the general public and as i kept saying on here we were going to vote leave ,everywhere i went and spoke to normal people ,that was the general feeling but they didn't get it in their London bubble did they ?

I am hoping that we will have Brexit and they (whoever they may be in future) will listen to the electorate .
The people have spoken ,these are public servants they do not rule over us.

Come on Hays. Give us a few examples of why you consider Carney brilliant.
As for Cameron and Osborne: I consider Osborne more intelligent than Cameron and he was a good chancellor; Cameron was good against a crummy opposition but too liberal in my view. Little wonder he and Cleggy got on so well.
Having said that, Theresa May looks like she "may" knock the socks off both of them.
