from EK - just posted on t1ps board.
I have closed my shorts in IP2IPO (IPO) and in Stanelco (SEO) as housekeeping measures. I received a lengthy set of notes from the fine establishment that is Evolution Securities on Stanelco and I can concede that there might just be a bull case although I still regard the valuation as fanciful. The truth is that I have traded Stanelco half a dozen times, up and down, and made money each time. Given that I do not really understand how the valuation stacks up I think this just goes to show that I am rather clever. Or perhaps, as the diarist suggests, just lucky. So it is perhaps better to retire to the touchlines.

Hardly Seq, just believe credit where it's due - wouldn't you agree? I have also respected your comments in the past, which you previously acknowledged? I'm comparitively new to this so don't wish to antagonise, or move the thread away from what's important which I imagine can be painful for all others. Hope you feel the same.

Chiva

Pension - that's great news thanks

We might hate the tosser when he shorts our stocks but you have to give him credit where its due, SEO was high on rumour and if I had the bollocks and funds to have spread-bets on a fall it was obvious on reading the RNS that it would become a target for profit-takers/shorters. Sorry guys, you know that I am an SEO investor but this week was prime-time to make good dosh trading as well out of the borson brigade. Would have given more cash to invest!!
I was asked by an individual from these boards at the weekend as to my opinion on SEO, it was that IF the RNS backed up the rumour BUY, if not the sp will fall to about 25p which will be a better buying opportunity. That advice doesn't go against my long-term beliefs of SEO, just an appraisal of current sp/news etc to hopefully have assisted someone else on board at the best price possible . Nothing wrong with what Di did, I would have done the same if I was here and increased my holding by about 15% without spending a penny. Shit.

andysmith - 25 May 2005 13:10 - 4850 of 27111

To back up Baza, please lets have our bb back to reasoned arguments and opinions and not hundreds of swiping comments. Its not good and quite frankly bloody boring!!

Sequestor - 25 May 2005 13:34 - 4851 of 27111

As I suggested a.m. some buyers are back after their fright, starting to pull back now and I expect a little blue at the day end

ps short FTSE100 down to 4900

bosley - 25 May 2005 13:36 - 4852 of 27111

blimey!! ek acknowledging that the might be a bull case for seo??? whatever next? IIdiot saying he was wrong ? you never know..........
i think it's still a little too early to say wether we are have reached any new levels of support and resistance although buyers have been coming back in over the last hour or so. but ek telling everyone he no longer shorts seo is good news.

Sequestor - 25 May 2005 13:38 - 4853 of 27111

Welcome back to the mad house I see you had a good time.

andy
I do agree with you this time, if I hadn't had to go to work I might have done a Di as well.

I am clad EK has made some money out of SEO so have many of us so his not that clever or lucky, still an arse in my book and will one day get regulated. He lost 300k the other day on White Nile never mind.

superrod
A punter does not have to know the company that is tipping the horse that he or she is about to back, because an investor did not know who evo was shouldn't be in on SEO is a ridiculous thing to say. This board has a variety of investors on it all contributing in there own way, thats why it was and still is a brilliant board. You yourself the other day thought a penny share was any share below 100 M/Cap when we all know its a share below 50p (sorry I had to get that one in).

Frampton - 25 May 2005 14:01 - 4855 of 27111

EK buying back seems to have given investors confidence. Maybe it'll even close in positive territory.

stockdog - 25 May 2005 14:02 - 4856 of 27111

When the SP went to a 17p EOD peak in February, it retraced 20%. So far the SP has retraced only 14% from its recent 28.5p EOD peak - we remain in a strong upward channel with the 25dma unbroken and the 50dma following up in parallel.

With nothing but good news on the reality front and more optimism waiting to be fulfilled, the fundamentals and charts are in deep synch IMHO.

If you've got time and patience to trade in and out on the way up, great for you. If, like me, you don't fancy that style of investing, then equally great, if slightly less profitable. Traders, don't forget that us steadfast investors contribute to your profiting from buying on the dips by supportring the long term up trend - there's room for all of us in this market.

Respect, man, dog, sequestor . . .

exactly stockdog- and a sincere "good luck", I must just add one coda, without shorting the market would be unbalanced, particulary with market-maker shares, if they couldn`t , the spreads would be horrendous.

Moving back nicely now that nasty 23p seems to be fading.

halfamil - 25 May 2005 14:45 - 4861 of 27111

Eric

Great to see you back. You've settled my nerves as I knew you would. There's been a bit of an Exodus of decent people from ADVFN.I f the muppets follow please don't let them destroy this one too.

Sequestor - 25 May 2005 15:12 - 4862 of 27111

coupla more buys and there`s a tick up due.

Chiva20 - 25 May 2005 15:40 - 4863 of 27111

Seq, you called it right this morning again. What yer got a crystal ball or summat? So 30p by the end of the week you reckon?

Sequestor - 25 May 2005 16:04 - 4864 of 27111

Now a bit of blue!!!

Chiva-years of being wrong and sometimes right, this time right, if the charts are right tho` it looks good for a couple of more p anyway

keep a tight stop-loss/gain tho`

cheers.

bhunt1910 - 25 May 2005 16:12 - 4865 of 27111

andysmith - 25 May 2005 16:12 - 4866 of 27111

I personally didn't find Sequestors posts offending. They were a cautious view putting an opposite view to ours of last weeks leap in share price. At least it wasn't bollocks like there's no product/it don't work etc, merely a view that unless the rumoured RNS confirmed Walmart it would fall and I agreed.
A 30% rise in one week on rumour is bound to be hit if the news is not confirmed. The only point that I disagree with though Seq, is that just because it is a penny share it can't make a quid one day. Of course it can and if they do get a significant number of machines with good royalties 100p is easily achievable and thats without Frogpack and other products. Next was 2quid once, Cairn Energy 300p last year, I tipped on MAM IDS at 81p to go to 1 and was told bollocks, but when I sold at 237p I was right. We could always buy JRVS cos it was 100p once!!! No chance, I'd rather buy SEO and I still believe that 100p in the future, not a ramp, just my opinion and like every investor, I have one. Others believe in God and Santa, are they rampers or crackers??
