Infoseeker Hi,
I hope that brings out the anti-ek brigade :)
Anyway I sent him the facts last night, via UK- Analyst, as per the e-mail below, with all evo, KBC, RHPS and trendwatch notes, and the lemminginvestor bits that Scrutable posted on the BB's !!!!
If he has any sense he will switch to long very quickly !
Cheers,
PM

Hi,
I notice Simon is now short of SEO(again?), and I am here to correct
him on his sums :)
----------------------------------------------------
The Evil Knievil Diaries
I am paying rather more attention to Stanelco (SEO) where I am short.
It has today signed its first deal with a manufacturer of packaging
for Asda. What I am not sure about is the numbers. How much does Asda
pay its manufacturer per tray? 1p? 2p? I don't know. And what would
the Stanelco royalty be? 10% of that 1p. Well Stanelco is, at 27.25p,
valued at 248 million. To justify that sort of value I'd be hoping
for pre-tax profits of perhaps 35 million within three or four years.
On my rather crude sums that would need it to be picking up 20-35
billion royalty payments a year. It all seems a touch generous to me
but perhaps my numbers are wrong?
-----------------------------------------------------
Ok, here we go ....
Stanelco revenue has nothing to do with the cost of trays.
Revenue is based on 45,000 fitting charge per machine, and 30,000
per machine on a recurring annual IP licence. They will get this,
because the product is hugely better than the existing heat sealing,
and the savings are circa 100,000 P.A for each machine. The profit is
estimated(EVO) at 5,000 from the fitting, and 90-95% of the licence
revenue.
ASDA have said they will convert 'several hundred machines' in the first year.
ASDA suppliers are only converting dedicated ASDA machines, a small
fraction of the total available in the UK.
Howard White hopes to convert 25,000 machines in 3 years.
Wal-Mart need around 10,000 machines to cover their throughput, and
they are currently target number one for Stanelco.
When ASDA exclusivity runs out, the rollout will really move into top
gear, with a queue of retailers (Tesco, Sainsbury's, Morrisons, M&S,
Etc Etc) all wanting Stanelco's RF fitted ASAP. Plus all the existing
ASDA suppliers will want to convert their non-ASDA lines, plus all
<> other suppliers wanting to supply the major retailers, will need RF to
compete.
Well before that Stanelco will rollout RF in the USA, then northern
Europe, and elsewhere. I recieved an e-mail today, from a visitor to
my website, and this was an Australian meat packing company that is
interested in Greenseal !!!!
My website http://www.stanelco.devisland.net
More info follows and is attached ....
Kind regards
Paul. (the under appreciated Stanelco guru !)

And EK diaries later yesterday ....
from EK - just posted on t1ps board.
"I have closed my shorts in IP2IPO (IPO) and in Stanelco (SEO) as housekeeping measures. I received a lengthy set of notes from the fine establishment that is Evolution Securities on Stanelco and I can concede that there might just be a bull case although I still regard the valuation as fanciful. The truth is that I have traded Stanelco half a dozen times, up and down, and made money each time. Given that I do not really understand how the valuation stacks up I think this just goes to show that I am rather clever. Or perhaps, as the diarist suggests, just lucky. So it is perhaps better to retire to the touchlines"

Is this new? - I did not nkow that Frogpack was "live" in the UK already
"FrogPack utilizes a unique technology called shock-absorbing arcuate panel technology (SAAP) for its added strength and protective qualifies. The technology, designed by Aquasol, a subsidiary of Stanelco, is already in use in the United Kingdom by a packager of lighting supplies and a packager of electronic components".

Re R/Page and 'I did not know that Frogpack was "live" in the UK already"
More importantly than that, is the huge potential market for Frogpack its could be at least as big or bigger than Greenseal see article 5 of the R/Page.
Research Page.

I think we can read a lot into the activity today. I was concerned about dropping to a 20-23p trading range, but there still appears to be plenty of investors prepared to push the sp up. Ek taking a hike helps of course. Personally I feel comfortable that we're looking at a 24-25p support level. resistance? Who knows.

Driver - thanks for that - I have now included the r/page in my "favourites" - and without realising that it was your work - I had already sent a copy of it on to some friends who wanted a succint and reasoned analysis of the company.
Clearly I missed the reference to Frogpak & Uk - but I do agree with you - that longer term Frogpak could be bigger that the tray lidding operation - given time and expert marketing.
Cheers

I checked for the copyright sign - but as it was all public domain stuff - I thought it was ok - but I will happily contribute a fiver to the drinking fund in Doncaster
