Thought I'd start a new thread as this is going to be a major talking point this year...have not made up my mind yet...(unlike bucksfizz)....but thinking of voting for an exit as Europe is not doing Britain any good at all it seems....

I still think it a folly to have voted for Brexit. As do many others who thought it sensible to remain in the EU and modify the "regulations" and perhaps goals.

But the proof is said to be in the eating.

At the moment the grand surge by some of the Brexiters was for OUT.

Where they were advocate going and what they are going to get if they got there?

No Planning. Leaders of rabble and leaving the scene as soon as possible after the act.

My guess is nothing great substance will be obtained and probably little will be of advantage to the whole of the UK. At that if any will be at a cost.

Nothing is for nothing. The ability to and age of pirating and pillaging other countries are fading.

Devaluation, which some are celebrating, is a pin-prick to the economy, a form of "austerity", which inevitably effects the poorest and fades as a stimulant after a few months.

Mind, one can invite the Russians and Chinese and other countries to buy the "country's silver" at knock down prices. Invite a few more.

Ask them to donate to the coffers of the Cons party and involve them in decision making.

Perhaps giving them holiday homes in Monaco, Panama, or the Cayman Isles.

The "rules, laws and regulations" of the EEC, EU etc. have been in constant, (even if slow) modification for the last 40 years.

As have the "rules, laws and regulations" of the UK for the last 300 years.

It is what you would expect of a dynamic ongoing developing body.

Times change, attitudes change and rules change in response.

Mistakes are made and the majority are recovered from.

But revolution generally causes more pain than necessary, evolution is preferable.

For someone who is a little long in the tooth, as you are Fred, you don't seem to learnt anything from experience.

Defending your way of life is not something terrible, it is a natural reaction to any incursion.

For an old socialista, you have a weird way of looking out for your offspring..cos they are the ones who will feel the pinch of globalism.
