Provexis Buy at 3.25p - Target 8p (PXS)

peeyam - 08 May 2007 11:30

LONDON (AFX) - Provexis PLC said it has entered into a long-term collaboration agreement with Unilever PLC to jointly develop a new concentrated format of its patented Fruitflow heart-health technology for application in Unilever's food product portfolio.

Financial details of the deal were not disclosed.

The partners plan to enter into a global licence arrangement for the technology.

Fruitflow is a patented natural extract from tomato which Provexis said has been shown in human trials to reduce the propensity for aberrant blood clotting that is typically associated with cardiovascular disease and which can lead to heart attack or stroke.

In 2005 the market for heart benefit foods was worth 4 bln usd globally, Provexis added.

Considering the growth potential this share has a target of about 8-10p in the medium tern and is a good buy at current levels

As usual, pls do ur own research.

Jonathan Diggines has been a non-exec director so shouldn't have as much of an impact as if he'd been an exec. However, he's well known as 'a deal-maker' with relevant contacts in the food and drinks industry, so on that score his resignation could perhaps have a negative impact - unless it is for reasons of conflict of interest.

cynic - 17 Sep 2009 17:48 - 494 of 1204

it's the "with immediate effect" with no other comment at all that is more than a little curious

Toya - 17 Sep 2009 18:19 - 495 of 1204

Indeed so - best keep an eye on the sp!

blanche - 18 Sep 2009 07:33 - 496 of 1204

Didnt affect the sp yesterday when the news came out.

cynic - 18 Sep 2009 11:07 - 497 of 1204

all interesting stuff ...... sp has improved sharply this morning (+0.92p = +11%) to 9.30 bid on pretty strong volumes, but no further news at all

Master RSI - 18 Sep 2009 11:44 - 498 of 1204

re - best keep an eye on the sp!

I never bother about those " nonsence" negative reasoning, as the Share price was very strong yesterday and again this morning, so much that I said on another thread .......

KEEP an EYE

PXS 8.30 / 8.70p

Finally moving higher since yesterday with volume, had a good retracement since reaching 22.25p at the end of August.

blanche - 18 Sep 2009 13:48 - 499 of 1204

good turn around today after being down first thing. I know its pure speculation and all that. But it could be leak of news to come on monday. After all the ec wording news has to be any day surely.

blanche - 18 Sep 2009 13:49 - 500 of 1204

Sorry if i offended anybody by calling them shirley 8-)

blanche - 18 Sep 2009 17:09 - 501 of 1204

Another good day, Nice and steady, Not those silly 50% jobbies.

Cynic, pele 55p to 73.25p in 5 days and still W A Y under valued.

Balerboy - 21 Sep 2009 09:23 - 502 of 1204

Up to 10p now.... all those pepes that baled out........

cynic - 21 Sep 2009 09:35 - 503 of 1204

this is another stock that is seemingly defying both gravity and logic - and yes i do hold

kimoldfield - 21 Sep 2009 10:57 - 504 of 1204

Probably nothing to do with PXS but an interesting story looks like emerging here:-

http://www.telegraph.co.uk/finance/comment/citydiary/6209179/Looking-less-smoothie.html

PXS are of course working with Coca Cola.

cynic - 21 Sep 2009 12:11 - 505 of 1204

driven purely by greed, for logic surely no longer applies here, i have just doubled up at 11.5 - no doubt i shall be suitably punished (yippee!)

kimoldfield - 21 Sep 2009 12:33 - 506 of 1204

Hmm, well I added some this morning hoping for a healthy profit (pun intended!)

cynic - 21 Sep 2009 12:36 - 507 of 1204

difficult one isn't it, though a very valid adage is that one shouldn't try to beat against the impetus ...... here, the impetus has been unbelievable and sustained for quite a while, and more importantly, with very heavy volume ...... rationalisation then says that there must surely be something afoot (apart from a shoe), but we all know how misplaced that can be

kimoldfield - 21 Sep 2009 12:40 - 508 of 1204

That's true! However, if this was a much larger company I feel that there would be a lot more trust placed in it as their product and pipeline does merit a little excitement!

kimoldfield - 21 Sep 2009 12:42 - 509 of 1204

Also, I'm not entirely sure that the now long awaited news is already fully in the price. Time will tell. (Obviously!)

Balerboy - 21 Sep 2009 13:52 - 510 of 1204

Think youv'e been a bit premature cynic

cynic - 21 Sep 2009 14:15 - 511 of 1204

me too .... serves me right, but shall stay put i guess as overall still showing a respectable profit

blanche - 21 Sep 2009 14:51 - 512 of 1204

been out all day, nice sight on my return. Well done cynic hope you brought some pele as well! Up again today 2 target. People hopeful of news this week on pxs.
