ASOS: BUY AT LOW PRICE!!!! (ASC)

wilco99 - 12 Sep 2003 15:52

ASOS have dropped quite significantly in the past week for no particular reason and I view this as the perfect opportunity to invest as I can see them bouncing right back up to the 5.50p mark in the next 2-3 weeks. STRONG BUY!!

Here's where I put them (from current price going down, support, support, resistance)... 6752 I've taken a profit on 25% of my short. This de-risks me a little as I've got my eye on a Wall St short this afternoon.

Martin Luther King day today.

Can still place the spread though..

The above chart breakout from 6187 begun on the 2nd January. It's from here the initial head and shoulders position (double) that we are currently shorting, and confirming the overall short position.

Shortie - 21 Jan 2014 14:52 - 4954 of 5941

6786 closed 25% and taken a further profit.

cynic - 23 Jan 2014 08:04 - 4955 of 5941

banked my very small profit yesterday .... pity as opening bell sees sp down nearly 200

required field - 23 Jan 2014 08:37 - 4956 of 5941

Bubble burst......and I regret not shorting it....but tied up with others unfortunately...

Shortie - 23 Jan 2014 09:55 - 4957 of 5941

Hindsight is a fine thing RF... I've still a decent sized short in play, think I'll look at trailing a stop loss now.

skinny - 23 Jan 2014 10:05 - 4958 of 5941

Well done Shortie - still not for me.

A couple of non TP specific neutral downgrades this morning.

Exane BNP Paribas Neutral 6,520.50 6,825.00 - - Downgrades

Goldman Sachs Neutral 6,520.50 6,825.00 - - Downgrades

Thank you Skinny.. I never follow brokers if I'm going short though, there always weeks if not months behind the action..

skinny - 23 Jan 2014 10:31 - 4960 of 5941

Agreed and those two were not out first thing - just hedging their bets so as not to look too out of kilter!

robinhood - 23 Jan 2014 11:57 - 4961 of 5941

at least today we do not have to listen to tomasz's rubbish

Shortie - 23 Jan 2014 12:15 - 4962 of 5941

No doubt he'll be back on the next rally claiming his victory and how much money he's made... Good job I've squelched him...

Shortie - 23 Jan 2014 15:13 - 4963 of 5941

This more than makes up for my bit of a Blunder in NXT....

Shortie - 23 Jan 2014 16:09 - 4964 of 5941

6298 stop set to lock in +600 pts profit on my final holding.

Shortie - 23 Jan 2014 16:41 - 4965 of 5941

Stop triggered, thats me..
Final result +146 on 25%, +112 on 25%, +600 on 50%...

cynic - 27 Jan 2014 08:20 - 4966 of 5941

fwiw, mthe chart below is quite interesting .... 25/50 dma have both been breached, but over the last year, sp has always recovered from those occasional positions .... how convinced would you be that that will be the case this time?

cynic - 27 Jan 2014 08:30 - 4967 of 5941

L2 shows it is the PIs who are being squeezed very hard, so it would be easy to see sp slipping a further several £ before any meaningful buying interest kicks in - but almost certainly not mine!

Shortie - 27 Jan 2014 10:00 - 4968 of 5941

The initial head and shoulders was my main play as I deemed any extended fall would yield a smaller movement over a greater amount of time. You could well see a recovery here but I think the new trend will be down/sideways... This share first needs to find support before any upside.. 5750 would be my guess and a guess it is as this stock is still very overvalued at these levels... I'm waiting for the 9/25 dma cross and then will no doubt look at shorting again.

I wonder if Tomasz is buying his beloved stock right now? So much for the art of making money ah... just another ramper!!
