Thought I'd start a football blog, we might keep this going until 2010.....England doing well....did not see the match or even the goals....I'd like Michael owen back in the squad though....and I think Peter Crouch would make a very good substitute...remember against Argentina in Geneva a few years ago....with Michael Owen and some very good movements on and off the ball...they caused havoc.....did see Scotland's missed chance....that could be very costly losing those 2 points !.

Talking about Arsenal : well beaten at the weekend...no English players that's their big.. big problem...the lot they have at the moment will one day play brilliantly the next time falter and let in plenty of goals : you need a backbone of homegrown footballers to stabilise the ship.

He's forgotten that he was worshipped by the Arsenal fans.....he's bitter about something that's for sure.

What are you talking about marni ?.....sometimes I wonder ?....Arsenal have a great attack but the defense is wobbly and English or players from these Isles would bring some stability to the side and grit when it matters...it is my belief that there are by far too many foreign players in the Gunners formation...

they don't - take a look at the league table, and it most certainly ain't the gooners at the top

Talking of shorting : I don't know what the value of the Arsenal stock is ...perhaps 5000 a share..something like that on plus I think....but it looks like a short : the marking by the Arsenal defenders was atrocious last weekend....they will slip back in the league, and unless there is a reaction, not even qualifying for europe will be possible...anything like that and down... down ...the value of the stock will go !.

Well the Gunners have reacted well to last weekend's defeat....incredibly difficult league ours.....and it's not surprising that so many foreign players want to play here now : at the moment it's no1 in the world.....let's hope the national side can emulate the league and become the best as well !.

Unlucky City, thought they'd taken a point from that game until the ref remembered his duties. All this nonsense about 1 min for the goal celebration and 30 seconds for a substitution - surely if you do the maths then the question becomes why so little time in virtually every other matck played.
And a welcome back to the real tottenham - made to look like the muppets they are without us breaking sweat.

Isn't it nice to see Michael Owen coming back into form ?...(sorry Man-City fans !..)....anyway talking about something else : isn't there a huge contrast between Liverpool's style of play and the Everton long ball and huff and puff, the thing with the latter is that they will surprise a few teams like Manu in the FA cup semis last year, so they might be a cup team again this year but I do prefer the passing style of the super reds.

Super reds ?
Have you ever seen Gerard win the league ?
MO back in form ?
He came on for less than 10 mins and was lucky to be in the right place at the right time. Any team worth its salt would not have defended the way city did in injury time - quite simply he and man u were lucky - that should have been a draw.

I would love MO to be back in the national squad
RFif that happens I will start supporting Scotlandsince his move to Real Madrid in 2004 he has never been able to keep a first team place anywhereReal kept him for only one season where reputation stands for nixiehe was given the wink prior at Liverpool that his regular team days were numberedeven a poor Newcastle team dropped himor did he have a bruised finger?Shearer who loves him on screen dropped him at a critical stage last season.hmmmmm
