Any view on the potential of osmetech (OMH)

windys160 - 25 Nov 2003 21:59

i currently hold 65000 shares in osmtech as anyone heard any news on what is happening with them lately ? as they do not seem to be gaining very much

A tight spread at these levels is normally a very bullish signal, and volume picking up also suggests that those "in the know" are confident enough to build on their stake.

We should see a healthy rise with the next trading update. Long term these guys have some interesting products - should these prove to be popular, then there is a good chance that the co. will be bought out by Roche - the price is likely to be 20p+ when that happens.

og,
OMH was a sick baby, but seems coming back a bit healther recently,(better chance of surviving now), please look at the trading volume for this year.
Is it something going to happen then?? sooner or later!

overgrowth - 07 Dec 2003 00:28 - 10 of 45

Snowbr,

A few weeks of OPTI sales looked good in the last accounts and a recent ADVFN poster with first hand experience of hospitals using OPTI in China predicts a healthy future for OPTI. This is good news because after selling in OPTI, OMH make a tidy sum selling the reagents which are required to run it on a regular basis - this will keep the cash flow strong.

OMH still continues to attract more interest than is usual for a company of this size (remember that around the time of the last results the BB's were manic). All it takes is good news early in the New Year and we could be looking at a very speedy, steep rise.

has moved up further now the bid nearing the 4p mark .. the results due out.. before the end of this month .. are expected to be good and the new cases of SARS in China has given it a further impetus. Well worth a short term punt.

windys160 - 15 Mar 2004 15:47 - 20 of 45

does anyone know the reseaon why osmetech is still falling? thought it would stay around the 4.5p mark or high but seems to keep falling now back below 4p, does anyone have any ideas on when they will start to release their new products as they have said there r 4 products due for release this year. cheers windy

The market overall has dropped since Madrid, I am not to worried about the fall as I think there will be an improvement but as with all shares in this category we will have to be a little more patient

astonvilla - 15 Mar 2004 22:31 - 22 of 45

I am a fan of this stock, it also seems to be a well traded stock. There products are good, the big one is released in the Autumn and hopefully they will get plenty of pre-sales ready for the launch date. I have invested in this stock but my views are that it could be the autumn time before you see some movement. Like any stock it depends on any trading statements. I guess they would not have made any serious sales with regards to the 'bird flu' as it has not spread as much. I am not an expert on the MM's but It looks to me as they are just playing around with it a little. If I had some spare cash I would top-up at the current price. Any other thoughts?

windys160 - 16 Mar 2004 20:28 - 23 of 45

i agree this would be a good time to top up at this level, i feel that over time the only way is up !! :-)). Looking forward to next year when the big one is in full swing.

homergibson - 07 Apr 2004 17:32 - 24 of 45

omh should start moving north for results in july and news releases and product launches from september onwards. Definitely good medium to long term investment.
