You can thank me for today's rise - sold 500 first thing to pay for some IMY and GTL !!

Still got a few of these, though, which I will definitely be hanging on to for a while.

Merry Christmas to you, too, MP

next update must be on it's way-pleased to see the sp moving up again. ST check out CFE-the hot money is moving into this one-long term it looks very promising. Lots of research on the other side-I always investigate anything Cockney Rebel is keen on.

soul traders - 04 Jan 2007 12:15 - 507 of 3050

Thanks, MP - I shall give it the once-over. I seem to be fully invested right now, though, so not sure when I'll be making any moves.

cynic - 04 Jan 2007 12:36 - 508 of 3050

my greed is tempting me to top up as i have this at "below norm"

soul traders - 04 Jan 2007 15:03 - 509 of 3050

Cynic, Happy New Year, firstly, as we haven't yet crossed paths!

I would certainly tend to say that anything below 420p looks cheap, and that there have been enough revisitations of levels above 440 to make a punt in the high 420's worthwhile, at least I guess if you're CFD'ing. Forthcoming good news ought of course to propel the SP even higher.

Good luck, and I don't need to tell you IMO and PDYOR.

SOLA Bid: 425p Offer: 430p Change: 14

soul traders - 08 Jan 2007 12:15 - 511 of 3050

And again: SOLA Bid: 441.5p Offer: 446p Change: 13

HARRYCAT - 08 Jan 2007 15:33 - 512 of 3050

SOLA seems happy to trade between 400 - 450p range for the moment. A steady profit if one can spot the bounces.
Is there any reason for the sp to break out of the 450p barrier soon? There doesn't seem to be any info on the success (or otherwise) of the roadshow in the U.S.

moneyplus - 08 Jan 2007 15:44 - 513 of 3050

end of year results due out soon. I'm expecting another bumper set and the sp to take off again!! DYOR of course.

soul traders - 08 Jan 2007 15:45 - 514 of 3050

Harry, we might get a trading statement sometime this month.

There won't be any info regarding the roadshow; it was designed to showcase the company to potential buyers of the shares and success can only really be measured in terms of US institutions taking large stakes. However, as this company is incorporated in the BVI's, it is not obliged to publish the names of major shareholders, so we're still in the dark, unfortunately.

Doubtless the US institutions now have SOLA on their watchlists and some will already have bought stock.

cynic - 08 Jan 2007 16:03 - 515 of 3050

haven't checked size, but would guess mkt cap is much too small for US institutions ..... as for breakout, as mentioned by Harry, there is really nothing to work on as no history

fortitude18 - 08 Jan 2007 16:13 - 516 of 3050

the news due is very simple. mgt still in intense negotiations with existing customers about new supply contracts for output from 2008-2010 based on Letters of intent. Output increased on that basis. The price will acclerate away when this news is released. I suspect the contracts will be long term offering excellent earnings visibility and a re-rating.

cynic - 08 Jan 2007 16:23 - 517 of 3050

but acid Q .... would you buy today?

soul traders - 08 Jan 2007 16:23 - 518 of 3050

Cynic, the co is capped at 440 mil (100+ million shares in issue). Fidelity often has 6% stakes in the smallest of companies (sub 50 mil), so am not sure your argument holds.

cynic - 08 Jan 2007 16:26 - 519 of 3050

u r right ..... did not realise mkt cap was that large

soul traders - 08 Jan 2007 16:30 - 520 of 3050

What happened to PDYOR? ;o)

HARRYCAT - 08 Jan 2007 16:32 - 521 of 3050

Plus, what was the point of the U.S. roadshow if the m/cap was below their interest level (sorry to rub salt in).
SP just broached the 450p level. I knew that as soon as I made a comment on the sp, I would be proved wrong!!!
