THE TALK TO YOURSELF THREAD. (NOWT)

goldfinger - 09 Jun 2005 12:25

Thought Id start this one going because its rather dead on this board at the moment and I suppose all my usual muckers are either at the Stella tennis event watching Dim Tim (lose again) or at Henly Regatta eating cucumber sandwiches (they wish,...NOT).

Anyway please feel free to just talk to yourself blast away and let it go on any company or subject you wish. Just wish Id thought of this one before.

cheers GF.

Cameron issues a new policy statement on Jihadists before his Rochester downfall.

Pity he couldn't be made stateless and refused readmission.

TANKER - 14 Nov 2014 09:17 - 50210 of 81564

more crap from Cameron just do it not talk action is far better take a way their pass ports for good they are terrorists ,why is the bbc give air time to the father of the terrorists he should be deported

cynic - 14 Nov 2014 09:33 - 50211 of 81564

it is however an interesting question as to whether or not a person can be made stateless, which i gather taking away someone's passport does .... and no, that is not just the "bleeding hearts" who will claim that, but under true international law

MaxK - 14 Nov 2014 09:39 - 50212 of 81564

It's just another sound bite by a desperate tosser.

TANKER - 14 Nov 2014 09:39 - 50213 of 81564

going to fight in another country then that is their chosen country end of
their choice ,

TANKER - 14 Nov 2014 09:42 - 50214 of 81564

how can they be stateless when they have chosen to fight in another country that makes them apart of that country and their home . Cameron more talk no action just make it law

Fred1new - 14 Nov 2014 10:08 - 50215 of 81564

Manuel,

I agree.

But making an announcement in Australia, before having the necessary debate in HP is bloody arrogance and posturing for Rochester.

I believe that he has already broached the idea and was told by Dominic Grieve that under International law his “proposal” was illegal.

=========

But if the individuals are thought to be "dangerous" I would think it would be better to have them in full view, rather than have them underground where the real "villains" would probably be anyway.

======

He is out of touch!

McCluskey: Jim Murphy a death sentence for Labour

THE election of former Scottish Secretary Jim Murphy as Labour leader would be a “political death sentence” for the party, one of the UK’s most powerful union leaders has warned.

Unite general secretary Len McCluskey attacked the East Renfrewshire MP, branding him a “Blairite” and the “candidate of division” in an article for the LabourList website.

The MP is widely seen as the frontrunner for the role. Last night, he called for an end to the “infighting”. “Our opponents aren’t in our own party,” Mr Murphy insisted.

Unite has already announced its support for the left wing candidate Neil Findlay in the race to replace Johann Lamont, who quit the Labour leadership last month. Former transport minister Sarah Boyack is also standing.

Ms Lamont accused Labour leader Ed Miliband of treating the party in Scotland like a “branch office” after Scottish general secretary Ian Price was sacked without her approval.

As Labour tumbles in the polls following the referendum, Mr McCluskey warned dozens of Scottish seats could be lost in next May’s election unless the party in Scotland elects Mr Findlay and moves on from “defeat and divisions”.

Haystack - Jim Murphy would be an excellent choice. As dour Scots go, he is up there with the worst. Gordon Brown resembles Mr Charisma compared to Murphy!:-)

Haystack - 14 Nov 2014 11:54 - 50223 of 81564

I have experience of dour Scots. I was previously married to a Scot with a very dour family. I was married in Elgin with toasts in The Macallan whisky, kilts and bagpipes outside the church and at the reception. I caused a local scandal by wearing a black velvet suit and a bow tie for the wedding.
