Tadpole Evolves (TAD)

ainsoph - 23 May 2003 13:32

A new thread that may swim in hibernation for a few days or weeks as the process of evolution takes place ......

Imagine a slimmed down debt free company with one division stacked with orders and self financing with cash in the bank.

Then imagine a partner for the other division with pockets so deep that they could fund a rocket to the moon ..... and back

Dreaming of course but Tads can do that to you ..... what a gem or is that a bygone dream as well .....

Haven't visited this thread for a while - and see things haven't changed! LOL

macCavity - 10 Jul 2003 23:07 - 512 of 729

Superrod,

take a few minutes out and think through how you would feel if someone openly accused you of defaulting with their broker. For a serious trader it is an humiliation and insult and can understandably make the accused extremely angry.

I suspect sequester will persue this until he gains either an apology or the satisfaction of tracking the accuser down. It is not difficult to do, some London software houses specialise in pinpointing culprits to the postcode or even to the room! I would tread very wary. The fact a case has yet to go to court and win is another matter but judges are losing patience with abusers and although the journey will be long and expensive, I believe sequestor is determined to follow it through. I will be watching carefully to see who blinks first.

Sequestor, any chance of publishing your "hit list"?

TIA

MightyMicro - 11 Jul 2003 00:24 - 513 of 729

superrod:

Yes, of course it is the same for any product. The thing about software is the margins are enormous but the chances of big time success with a packaged product are miniscule. So talk of the 85% margin is misleading. Even giving it away, the Linux crowd haven't dented Bill's stranglehold on the desktop OS market.

Also, it doesn't reflect distribution channel costs. Again, it depends on the type of software. I've been in the software business as a programmer/engineer, manager, R&D Director, company CEO for in excess of thirty years, and I've not seen it differ that markedly.

Cheers

MM

Mac,
I think you could name the other six on the list lol!

ps super-odd, what really makes me laugh about you Pifflers is the fact that you believe your neuroses are universal, you really believe that the world revolves around one share, and are prepared to defend it- even unto illegality,as some have-what a way to exist.Still its your loss.
By the way the other side are onto the multiple alias( e.g.anus-mundi, aka the excrementory one from whom all crap floweth), and have at last followed MAM`s excellent detective work- watch this space you `aint seen nothin` yet.

Regards to colowen

Youre responsible for the lack of success here in mine, and many others opinions.
Tone your childlike responses down oily stop using the bad language youre fond of and perhaps people would listen!
As to insulting you oily.no, you are a joke to most, and not worthy.
The thread is for people interested in Tad and not your weird sense of humour.
Try going away for a while and see how the site performs without you, ahh but you have me filtered lol

you really are a class act. what is wrong with " tris".
oldolie
sequestor......im sure they are deep and meaningful, but did it never occur to you that TRIS might be a short version of a very fine name? TRISTRAM. just a thought. sorry but no time to put this through the grammar/spellchecker. hope it meets your stringent and superior requirements.

macCavity - 12 Jul 2003 21:17 - 524 of 729

Sequestor,

any update on the litigation against your accusers? I am just interested in how much the solicitors are going to charge you. I today discussed the matter with a legal chum of mine and he says a. It is an unwise thing to embark on because it will seriously damage your wealth, and b. He has never heard of anyone pursuing such a case and coming out tops. I suppose you have thought through the consequences not only in financial terms but also in credibility amongst your bb peers. Removing a chap from a bb is one thing, and generally an easy task to achieve, but to instruct solicitors (as I assume you have) is a very brave or stupid thing to do, brave I think!

Anyway as I say, good luck in the litigation and I hope you achieve what you set out to do. Just as an aside, tone down your responses because reading back some of your posts on both sides makes some dodgy reading and you at times are sailing close to the wind, occasionally collapsing your sails! Just some friendly advice, be careful, tone down and hopefully you will not end up with egg on your face.

TIA.
