You are right it was my youngest who passed his theory test recently. He is 21 in June and I am stumping up for an intensive driving course (400) and if he passes a cheap car and insurance. Its the old what you do for one you have to do for the other.

Some people will try to make a bob or two out of anything. I've got four tickets already, all for free.

I can confirm that a handbrake will bring a car to a stop although it is definately not capable of a emergency stop! MoraL of the story - if you feel a bump on the underneath of your car check your brakes and if they feel funny stop. It certainly wasn't funny when the brake pedal went to the floor to little effect and even then the warning light didn't come on.

I'm sorry but the cafe has run out of wots but we have our speciality sausages and mash. It drives lw mad because he can only get gnu sausages and these are the best Gloucester Old Spot porkers. Lovely sizzling stuff.

I'll have six, Socs.
I lurve bangers 'n' mash. Really creamy mash with lotsa butter and pepper sprinkled on the top and the bangers really hot and sticking out from the mash at all angles.
Can't seem to find anywhere around here where they have the old fashioned bangers. Might have to take a trip to Gloucester.

I am attempting to prepare a bedroom floor with a view to sanding and varnishing it. There are some gaps between the planks and I wonder if anybody knows a way of filling the gaps other than using papier mache as suggested in my DIY manual. It seems a bit labour intensive and boring.
Any ideas or suggestions will be greatly appreciated and considered.

We have some stale do'nuts snoball if you want to fill your floorboard gaps with em! I suggest you get carpet, the only place for a varnished floor is the hallway! the rest of the house should have something warm under your feet.

GD, the idea is to put nice smart rugs on the polished floor which will be warm. I have solved the problem and finished the gap filling already. The solution was to make up basins full of papier mache goop and using rubber gloves, spread it all over the floor filling in the gaps. Just have to wait for it to dry now.
