England were lucky to get that last mn goal.....but perhaps deserved to win that game......why were there so many changes from one game to another......crazy.....we have the potential to do well but each time somehow the team blunders.....they were so poor against Iceland it's unbelievable.....

VICTIM - 08 Jul 2016 09:12 - 5189 of 6918

I would put it down to the incompetence of Hodgson , trying to be too clever . You should play your best team , what other manager did what Hodgson did , none they played the best team they had each game .

grannyboy - 08 Jul 2016 10:12 - 5190 of 6918

No matter what team England put out, they're not good enough, don't have the right mentality or determination...

IN other words totally crap, arrogant shits...

Claret Dragon - 08 Jul 2016 11:10 - 5191 of 6918

England have produced very average players for years. Nothıng wıll change. They wıll qualıfy agaın for 2018 fınals due to the lack of opposıtıon ın the group. In two years, are there any World class players comıng through? I dont see any when I watch from my seat at WHU.

VICTIM - 08 Jul 2016 11:20 - 5192 of 6918

I suppose you could say that about Wales or Iceland Claret , players need to know what their role is in a game nowadays , and if the Manager can't even do that then you have no chance .

Dil - 08 Jul 2016 11:32 - 5193 of 6918

Martini ... you must be so proud of your little nation with such poor resources to call on beating the Mighty Wales and putting up such a good show and only narrowly losing to the Mighty Iceland.

Home coming party tonight in Wales and for anyone like me who missed the England one you can watch ours live on BBC1/BBC2 Wales from about 4pm.

Such lovely well behaved fans too unlike the English.

Enjoy it M :-)

To the ruling classes 'England' is a dirty word....

WE'RE ALL BRITISH NOW!!..

Unless you're Scottish, Welsh or Irish..

Martini - 08 Jul 2016 20:10 - 5195 of 6918

Dil

Yes no one celebrates losing like the Welsh. After all you have had plenty of practice over the years. xx

Well done Portugal !......have to say France unlucky not to have clinched it towards the end of normal time......but the portugese are ever so hard to beat......

Chris Carson - 11 Jul 2016 12:09 - 5198 of 6918

And France were soooooo Boring!

And France were soooooo Boring!

required field - 12 Jul 2016 09:07 - 5200 of 6918

I thought the championships were superb overall....how can you describe them as boring is beyond me ?....shame about England playing like crap in their last game....but it was enjoyable before that.....and after.......

Chris Carson - 12 Jul 2016 09:29 - 5201 of 6918

Referring to the Final rf France were poor.

required field - 12 Jul 2016 10:20 - 5202 of 6918

France were below par and Portugal played their best game in the final...it's as if without Ronaldo : they raised their game !...and at the end as he was on the sidelines almost on the pitch adding to the portugese team like an extra man on the field...

Dil - 13 Jul 2016 12:09 - 5203 of 6918

France won the most matches (6) and scored the most goals in tournament (13). Second best were Wales 4 wins and also second top scorers (10).

England won the same number of games in 90 minutes as champions Portugal , an impressive 1 each and both against Wales.

New England manager should first of all get rid of Rooney nicely as he has been a great servant for England but he hasn't got another tournament in him. Next job is to pick 18 core players and stick with them through qualifying and next tournament leaving 5 places up for grabs for anyone making a good impression or youngsters coming through on a match by match basis. Then make a plan and stick to it and play players in their correct positions.

England should be up there with Germany , Spain , Italy etc competing for honours at tournaments consistently year after year not getting dumped out in qualifiers like at the World Cup or being embarrassed by a team at the Euro's with a population around the size of South Glamorgan's.

There might be hope Dil !......

Haystack - 14 Jul 2016 18:41 - 5205 of 6918

Wales have overtaken England in the latest FIFA world rankings after Euro2016

Joe Say - 15 Jul 2016 08:53 - 5206 of 6918

You say that Haystack as if it's something to be proud of or an achievement of note

required field - 15 Jul 2016 09:46 - 5207 of 6918

Wales did themselves proud make no mistake about that......England underperformed as usual...played well in a few games with no creativity around the box and unfortunately the whole team slumped in the final game.......too many team changes did not help....
