Oh dear, another loser. Oh well, back to the stock market and I did cop for a 50 win on the Premium Bonds. Who said "don't spend it all at once"?

Congrats LW, 'You can pick em' wanted to save some 'money' for the next game or I would have put the pot on me horse.
I did beat Socs though, have &100 pounds to come from the Bonds this month
Anyone else any really good fortune on Ernie?

Yes Socs,
I have more than two and I am always thinking that I could get a much better return down the Street, but then I keep hoping for a really great win. Best so far is 500 and it was when I had a very small holding. I know that statement could attract a comment or two from 'certain parties' but how else could I put it :))

"I have a small financial investment might do it." I have had a few wins, none more than 100, but it represents about 4% annual return, tax free.

Computer systems worldwide face an attack by variations of the already-rampant Netsky virus, experts warned today.
Variants of the virus, which has plagued systems for the past two months, are surfacing with a vengeance, and computer security firms expect a fresh and intensifying electronic offensive next week. New variant Netsky.Q is designed to attack websites that offer filesharing services, such as Kazaa - best-known for its music downloading.
The experts say a further mutation, Netsky.T, is primed to flood systems with a 'denial-of-service' attack next Wednesday. It will bombard systems with electronic requests, clogging up or slowing down networks. The attack is scheduled to last for 10 days.
The latest versions of the original Netsky, which has generated millions of virus-infected mails since it emerged earlier this year, arrive as a file attachment in an email and sometimes claim to have been scanned for viruses and given a clean bill of health.
The ploy of adding a 'no virus found' message at the bottom of the email is deliberately designed to appeal to those who are too impatient to practise safe computing,' said Graham Cluley of antivirus company Sophos.

Seldom post at weekends but thought that I'd bring this ttt re Croc's post 122.
I've had 3 of these dodgy e-mails within 24 hours. This is typical of what they look like:
For further details see the attachment.
++++ Attachment: No Virus found
++++ Norton AntiVirus - www.symantec.de
and they've been coming with an innocuous looking .zip file attachment which has been getting through the virus scanner.
Be warned!!

Thanks for the warnings, you can never be too careful. I still fear virus damage despite having Norton Professional AV and also e-mails virus checked by my service provider, Blueyonder. I receive a constant stream of interception messages from them.
Anyone fancy elevenses, tea or coffee. The are a few hot-cross buns left, lovely hot with lots of butter.
