little willie - 11 Apr 2004 12:33 - 5209 of 23498

Hi all from a now very sunny SA. Had a few awful winter rainy days but clear bright blue skys now and suns up to 30 degrees, off to golf club for a spot of trough for lunch.

Sent Jeff & Hils photos of " Sweet Revenge" our filly and have asked them to post her piccy here, I haven't a clue how to do it! Don't try explaining as I'm not into technospeak at all but thought you might like to see the lass, also a piccy of mrs. lw with her...

Opto...I'm up for roast beef as well...yummy.....

jeffmack - 11 Apr 2004 12:38 - 5211 of 23498

Having pic probs, normal service soon

Socrates - 11 Apr 2004 12:39 - 5212 of 23498

That reminds me, I must nip out the back and throw another half dozen logs on the barbie and wind up the spit motor again. It's quite an effort to roast a whole cow but it's worth it. I thought I would use cherry wwod for that extra bit of flavour. Bring your own bread and I'll supply the carvers.

jeffmack - 11 Apr 2004 12:56 - 5213 of 23498

See below a picture of Sweet Revenge, little willies new horse (on the right)

Just back from scoffing the trough.
Cheers Jeff, as you rightly say, the big one the right. Ouch!

MightyMicro - 11 Apr 2004 16:55 - 5215 of 23498

Popped in for the first time in months for a large glass of house claret to be greated by two fine fillies!

The old place seems to be in good order, apart from tell-tale straw on the floor . . .

Golddog - 11 Apr 2004 17:48 - 5216 of 23498

Happy Easter everybody, please find your chocolate eggs behind the bar! Some of them contain a surprise?

Littlewillie, Nice picy and i will put it in the gallery. Btw she looks a beaut and the horse is nice to! :-) Good healthy colour.

Mightymicro, Sorry about the straw but it is the best money can buy im told.

Hilary, ta for the warning! I never open emails unless i know who exactlty who it is from, and i always delete those from advfn. :-)

I have just opened my Easter Egg and found a Bods inside so Easter was good for me.
:-)

jeffmack - 11 Apr 2004 20:26 - 5217 of 23498

Especially for T.I.M.

little woman - 11 Apr 2004 21:21 - 5218 of 23498

Hi everyone, just found time to drop in to say Congrats on picking yesterdays the winner Optomistic

LW the filly looks impressive - how old is she?

1,000 plus the current pot - thats a nice headstart for a few of us :-)

GD - you seem to be drinking bods most of the time - perhaps you should consider a intravenous drip of the stuff!

snoball - 11 Apr 2004 23:11 - 5219 of 23498

I've just opened my egg and found some pot in it.

Happy Yeaster.

stockbunny - 12 Apr 2004 09:28 - 5220 of 23498

Oh No not that badger site jeffMack, my youngest has been driving
me completely round the twist with it for about a week.....
"Badger, badger, mushroom....badger, badger, mushroom..."
It's a bit like those awful songs that end up hits and no-one
knows why but also can't get them out of their heads....
"Can't get you outta my head.." Who let Ms. Minogue in today then??

GD true never is rabbit pie on the menu in here and I love you for it!!

Premium bonds..got a small holding also (although I swear it's not
Optim's..giggle) anyway never more then 50 has been won except
one month when two separate bonds each won 50!!

little willie - 12 Apr 2004 13:35 - 5221 of 23498

lw... we bought her in the annual yearling sales here in the western cape a fortnight ago.
In UK all horses have their birthday on Jan 1 whereas here its Oct 1.
She'll be 2 then and will go onto a full training yard and if strong/forward and good enough will prob have her first race in either Dec or Jan. we shan't push her as apparently that wrecks more horses than anything.

Just in from playing golf; was out at 7am in a heavy dew and it was pretty chilly but its now a pretty hot [30 degrees] cloudless day;
bearing in mind its now winter, I suppose its pretty good.
I came back to find Mrs. lw asleep by pool in her cossie sunbathing, thats what you call a winter!

Gotta go for my flu jab tommorrow...!!

Golddog - 12 Apr 2004 13:59 - 5222 of 23498

willie, Playing golf at 7am! That would be a bit early for me.

This might sound a bit boring and i don't expect a response but you know they had a recent ban on weed killer chemicals! Well i want to try and get some moss killer that contains Dichlorophen that treats lichens. Is there a list of banned chemicals?

I shall make a pot of tea and spread up some Hot cross bunnies.
:-)

Golddog - 12 Apr 2004 14:08 - 5223 of 23498

littlewoman, Are you saying that i'm a Bods alcoholic?

only.........
homeX_02.gif

littlewillie, Does mrs l.willie know she is 'on display' in the Cafe?

edit: Sweet Revenge now added to The Gallery.

The Photo Gallery: Don't be shy - send poochy a picy for the gallery, it's always nice to know who we chat to.
:-)

Pint of Bods please.
and one for the road

little willie - 12 Apr 2004 14:49 - 5224 of 23498

Goldie...in our summer, especially Dec, Jan & Feb we regularly meet for golf start at 5.30am when its beautiful and cool.
Re piccy..yea, she does, but in the 'old' days she was more used to the 'cat walk' than 'poochs corner',no disrespect intended!

"Sweet Revenge" doesn't know, tho' but I might whisper it in her ear later on if we go down to the stud tonight. She still hasn't quite got the idea of what carrotts are, perhaps the odd 'bunny' could help.

Golddog - 12 Apr 2004 17:21 - 5225 of 23498

The 'cat walk'! meow!!

This_is_me - 12 Apr 2004 23:55 - 5226 of 23498

LW

What happens if she doesn't make it racing? Is it the pet food factory or do you give up the car for pony and trap?

stockbunny - 13 Apr 2004 09:43 - 5227 of 23498

Hot cross bunnies?.....Where...Whatever it is they want I didn't
do it and I haven't been in for ages..OK??

Now a couple of Danish and orange juice please.
Love the horsie LW - she looks a beauty!!! May she win many for you.
