Please report bugs and enhancements (BUGS)

andy.lovell - 04 Nov 2002 11:26

If you're having any problems, or want to suggest some improvements, please post below!

Level2 changes
In the last few weeks we've needed to implement some code changes to make us compliant with the LSE's rules on the access of Level2 data.

The following requirement is now in place:
You can only use 1 program on 1 computer to access Level2 on MoneyAM using a single username.

This means that you are able to view as many Level2 windows using any one particular browser, or program, that you wish, however you will not be able to use both Firefox and Internet Explorer at the same time (the same goes for using Quote Tracker or TradeSeeker at the same time as viewing it using a web browser)

If you find you're being logged off of MoneyAM's Level2 with the message 'you've logged on from another location' then check the above and make sure you're not running any other programs at the same time before reporting this as a bug.

Me to!

I was getting the advert every time I refreshed a heatmap. It does appear to have stopped for now. Paying for l2 access and seeing these annoying popups is in polite terms a pain.

Huxley,

I appreciate what you are saying, but with out advertising revenue, we would have to pass on the costs to our users meaning that subscription fees would increase. We try to minimise the effects of advertising, and this campaign will be removed when it has been fulfilled.

Ian

Its started again appearing on every refresh of a heatmap :-(

Are the multiple popups occuring so that the campaign will be fullfilled earlier?

huxley,

I do not work in advertising, but I will get our tech guys to take a look just to make sure all is correct etc.

Ian - This type of full screen advert used to appear and then if you left it, or minimised it, it wouldn't keep reappearing.

From yesterday evening onwards I noticed that you just kept getting more and more of them opening up.

Everytime I do a 'quote' another one opens !

huxley - 01 Feb 2007 18:12 - 5405 of 7315

oh well...

now pop up free with Firefox 2.0 :-)

Photo,

Apologies, we are having some issues with the load balancers and are working to resolve these.

Ian

On further inspection, it would appear that our suppliers are having an issue with Level 2. They are working on it and I will update you as soon as I can,

Ian

IanT(MoneyAM) - 05 Feb 2007 15:30 - 5409 of 7315

All,

It would appear they have resolved it - and your prices should return to normal. You may see missing trade information between 15.13 znd 15.28, but prices shoudl now start to tick over normally again,

Apologies for the disruption,

Ian

For the last few days the chart, trades and news symbols at the left hand side of the portfolio pages have not been effective. I recently received a Java update. Could there be a connection?

IanT(MoneyAM) - 07 Feb 2007 13:06 - 5411 of 7315

55011,

It is more likely that a pop up blocker on your machine has become active. This could either be in your browser, any toolbar you have installed (such as google or Yahoo), or within your firewall. IT might be worth taking a look to see if disabling these makes any difference,

Ian

I'll have a look around, nothing else seems to have been affected.

Edit:

Yes. Tinkering with the pop-up blocker has done the business. Thanks.

DITCHPIG,

can you elaborate a little please?

Thanks

There's something strange with the epic UGAS (ETFS Gasoline).

If you do a quote you get the correct price but look at the company name 'EPRA/NAREIT Asia Index' and look at the charts !

Red Underwing - 08 Feb 2007 22:09 - 5416 of 7315

Having recently taken an interest in ETFs & taken a small stake in NGAS for my PEP, I am struck by a number of occasions when the data does not make sense.

Today for instance very few trades are shown (2). Nothing unusual about that.

The prices for those 2 trades are quoted as 2.76/2.7825 & 2.755/2.7725.

The close price is shown on my watch list as 1.78 down 35.91%. However the intra day chart shows it ending on 2.81.

On 25th January it apparently closed at exactly the same price 1.78 USD.

Although the problem above could be a currency problem, I don't see a way that could be influencing what is happening here with NGAS.

These prices are clealy inconsistent & I have seen it before with the same ETF.

What's going on here? Is there a problem with the data feed?

Which is correct the close price or the intra day chart?

If it behaves as before, it will open tomorrow well above the shown close price & almost up to the chart end price!

It may be there is something intrinsically odd about the way these funds are priced, which leads to this sort of problem.

I have seen it to a lesser extent with other ETFs.

It would be good if the chart & close prices, at least, agreed.

Can you throw a little light on this?

Regards

Red

qwento/red,

I will take a look into the points you have raised and get back to you with my findings,

Ian

Red Underwing - 13 Feb 2007 00:56 - 5418 of 7315

Ian,

another oddity is that with NGAS on my stockwatch list, I can see the usual flashes & changes that normally indicate trades occuring. However the number of shares shown as traded rarely changes. It is as if the data feed get noticed by some of the s/w, but is missed elsewhere!

Red,

Thanks for the extra info, as soon as I have some feedback I will let you know,
