Please report bugs and enhancements (BUGS)

andy.lovell - 04 Nov 2002 11:26

If you're having any problems, or want to suggest some improvements, please post below!

Level2 changes
In the last few weeks we've needed to implement some code changes to make us compliant with the LSE's rules on the access of Level2 data.

The following requirement is now in place:
You can only use 1 program on 1 computer to access Level2 on MoneyAM using a single username.

This means that you are able to view as many Level2 windows using any one particular browser, or program, that you wish, however you will not be able to use both Firefox and Internet Explorer at the same time (the same goes for using Quote Tracker or TradeSeeker at the same time as viewing it using a web browser)

If you find you're being logged off of MoneyAM's Level2 with the message 'you've logged on from another location' then check the above and make sure you're not running any other programs at the same time before reporting this as a bug.

Still getting "Can't contact servlet runner at 127.0.0.1:6802" errors occasionally.

Kayak,

fixed btw ;)

J.

TullettJ (MoneyAM) - 22 Jan 2003 09:19 - 544 of 7315

Kayak,

Yeah, that was the fixing of that level, restarted the servlet engine, takes just a few seconds to restart. Trust you to be loading a page during that *grin*

Morning J,

It was the Traders Room from within the site via the tab.

Alkrington - 23 Jan 2003 08:45 - 553 of 7315

Don't know if it's a bug or not. If you have filtered someone in here then they are not filtered in the investors room.

Mike.

J,

Seems fine now. I'll let you know if it happens again.

Sue 42 - 23 Jan 2003 09:27 - 556 of 7315

Hi

Trying to log on 9on anotherpc - & yes I shut tthis window down first) & keep getting message page "moneyam is down for maintenance"?

??

Just tried again (OK) - I was trying to access moneyam.com, not /beta

- 23 Jan 2003 10:16 - 557 of 7315

I cannot access Market News on the Home Page. Although I am a Beta Tester it won't seem to allow me access.

I was trying to access today's MoneyAM's Market News "Abbey National Downgrade" feature.

Anyone else having this trouble?

Treblewide - 23 Jan 2003 10:19 - 558 of 7315

I notice that the header for the Bulletin boards says just that 'Bulletin Board'. If you are half way down a list of threads you cannot tell which BB you are in apart from the URL. This also means that it just has Bulletin Board on the task list at the bottom of Windows.

Kayak - 23 Jan 2003 10:35 - 561 of 7315

I think all of the window titles need to be rethought and standardised bearing in mind people normally have many windows open and long titles get truncated on the buttons at the bottom of the screen. I would prefer abbreviations such as:

AM: IBB (for Investors' BB)
AM: TBB
AM: News
AM: Stockwatch (or even just Watch)

etc., also giving the share EPIC if the window relates to a particular share,

e.g.

AM: L2 ANL

Currently threads on the BB get given the thread title as window title, this is confusing and should just read BB.
