It is now time to switch to a new Money AM football blog as the world cup is now over and we all look to the future.....World cup 2010 is over, Bravo Espana, and Forlan, once again and bring on the new season !.....I never expected the last thread to be such a success...thanks all.... so this new one might go on for years without the need to edit the title...we shall see...

Can't think why, bugger all atmosphere at Wembley.

Joe Say - 20 Feb 2017 16:22 - 5453 of 6918

They have Milwall visiting in the next round of the cup

dreamcatcher - 20 Feb 2017 21:09 - 5454 of 6918

Sutton playing well, lucky Arsenal goal.

dreamcatcher - 20 Feb 2017 21:12 - 5455 of 6918

Arsenal in gear 2-0. Theo Walcott adds a second for Arsenal

Stan - 21 Feb 2017 16:55 - 5456 of 6918

The ever mr. popular of north west football gets the sack again.. I give you the right orible Owen Coyle -)0

Martini - 23 Feb 2017 20:47 - 5457 of 6918

Hell football is a cruel game as a manager. Claudio Ranieri has gone you would have thought they would have done it at the end of the season after what he did for them.

Dil - 23 Feb 2017 21:34 - 5458 of 6918

Plus a 1-0 win puts them in the quarter finals of the Champions League , they must be mad.

Dil - 23 Feb 2017 21:36 - 5459 of 6918

... and they can feck off if they want Warnock :-)

Stan - 23 Feb 2017 23:22 - 5460 of 6918

What a bonkers decision.

Stan - 24 Feb 2017 08:42 - 5461 of 6918

Who ever works there is on a hiding to nothing now.

Joe Say - 24 Feb 2017 09:55 - 5462 of 6918

Not sure it is as bonkers a decision as the papers et al would have you believe - the strong rumour is that he'd lost the dressing room.

so if you owned Leicester - what would you have done?

Accept relegation and stick by Rainieri as a matter of honour, or

Give them a fighting chance of retaining a PL place ?

required field - 24 Feb 2017 11:06 - 5463 of 6918

Perhaps it's a behind the scenes decision and the like you say if he has lost the dressing room......if you just take what he has achieved for them : then no it's a bad decision but perhaps there is something else that cannot be revealed and the Leicester boardrooms decision is final and he had to go.....I would have kept him at least to the end of the season .......

Claret Dragon - 24 Feb 2017 11:11 - 5464 of 6918

Just how did they beat Citeh 4-0?

Chris Carson - 24 Feb 2017 11:19 - 5465 of 6918

Everton beat City 4-0 Claret, what's your point? Cut throat business now in the Premier League, disgusting is an understatement. He won't starve will he, wonder what his pay off will be?

Claret Dragon - 24 Feb 2017 11:51 - 5466 of 6918

Everton are much better than Leicester Chris.

Stan - 24 Feb 2017 13:30 - 5467 of 6918

I understand about loosing the dressing room and your out, but after winning what seemed to just about everyone an impossible achivement in winning the league (and by an astonishing 10pts) sticking with him til the end of the season is a minimum.

About time some boards standup against small minded cleeks in dressing rooms. Come the summer Raneria (spelling?) would have a chance to root them out.

Claret Dragon - 24 Feb 2017 20:13 - 5468 of 6918

I dont see anything different about Leicester apart from Kante. Sure Ranieri didnt give change a winning formula. Others have worked them out.

Stan - 26 Feb 2017 09:56 - 5469 of 6918

Another away title winning point yesterday by the Clarets, I hope they don't sack Dyche next season like some former winners...

Stan - 27 Feb 2017 23:29 - 5470 of 6918

Sad news that Everton's Alex Young passed away today CC, one of my favourite non-Burnley players of the 60s. Very stylish and effective centre forward who new where the net was so had a v.g. goals per games ratio.

Chris Carson - 28 Feb 2017 07:25 - 5471 of 6918

Indeed Stan, the 'Golden Vision' . Legend. First saw him play age 9 in 1963 great player and gentleman. Will be missed.
