World cup 2010, What chances for the Home sides and Ireland !. (2010)

required field - 12 Oct 2008 18:43

Thought I'd start a football blog, we might keep this going until 2010.....England doing well....did not see the match or even the goals....I'd like Michael owen back in the squad though....and I think Peter Crouch would make a very good substitute...remember against Argentina in Geneva a few years ago....with Michael Owen and some very good movements on and off the ball...they caused havoc.....did see Scotland's missed chance....that could be very costly losing those 2 points !.

required field - 16 Oct 2009 11:29 - 546 of 1154

That makes 31...so you're dead against the irish lot then ?

Joe Say - 16 Oct 2009 16:05 - 547 of 1154

Vote SNP, and Plaid Cwymru (however its spelt) and then you lot can go and **** off to your little corners of GB, and we can continue as one of the worlds leading nations.

The power of envy eh ?

Dil - 16 Oct 2009 16:32 - 548 of 1154

Joe Say .... Scots may want independence but we aren't dull here in Wales . You can keep subsidising us for as long as you want in my book and that goes for the overwhelming majority of us.

rf ... no got nothing against the Irish or the other 30 as long as one of them wins who cares :-)

Treblewide - 16 Oct 2009 18:25 - 549 of 1154

lol joe...someone steal your morris dancing bells?

Treblewide - 16 Oct 2009 18:28 - 550 of 1154

dil....i think you will find scotland have been subsidising the UK since the discovery of oil in scottish water.

dont believe me? ...lets look at one of the richest nations in the world per head of capita......Norway...ppoulation fo a few miliion and a a coupld of hundred billion in the bank...all down to what north sea oil......

and i dont think they are subsidised by anyone......remarkably similar dont you think?

but still the english subsidising the scottish is a nice headline for the sun readers

Dil - 16 Oct 2009 19:00 - 551 of 1154

OK my apologies Treb ... thank you Scotland for subsidising us (we're keeping our oil quiet til you lot run out then we may go it alone) :-)

Treblewide - 16 Oct 2009 23:10 - 552 of 1154

Vell ?...the Arrish haave drawn the French...tough for both sides....I bet the french aren't happy....the Republic of Ireland have a great chance....just mark Henry out of the game and keep a close eye on Ribery if he plays...I'm glad England don't have to face them (Eire that is). Villa have given Chelski the blues....a very open premiership it seems !.

Treblewide - 19 Oct 2009 17:41 - 554 of 1154

still digusted that it was seeded...i hope all the seeds get pumped out ...teach the greedy munters at FIFA/UEFA a lesson

required field - 19 Oct 2009 22:49 - 555 of 1154

The Portugese are lucky...firstly to have pipped the Swedes to the second spot and now they meet Bosnia....Greece and Ukraine might be tight...Russia should go through no problem....but France are going to have a very difficult task with Ireland...If the Irish get a 2-0 lead : that should be good enough...I don't think that away goals count double in this situation !.

Trig.I dont thank Scotland for Oil.or Rangers/Celticor haggis.or kilts.or bagpipes.or Pringleor Rabbie BurnsI dont even thank Scotland for Golfas the Chinese invented it?oooups.but I am eternally grateful for your Glaswegian genius Frankie Boylesome of his views including Rangers/Celtic >

Massive corporate entities leeching the soul out of their deprived communities. The area round Celtic Park is like Blade Runner without the special effects. In 1967 Celtic won the European Cup with a team where all the players were born within 20 miles of the stadium. If you tried to field a team from that area now you wouldnt find 11 people who still had both legs. Both clubs have profited massively from sectarianism. Personally, I think everyone involved over the years has shown that they dont have Northern Irelands best interests at heart and it should now be given to a third party, like Spain. Imagine how little the average Belfast citizen would care for the problems of religion if he could just get a nice bit of tapas on the Falls road. And it wasnt fuc*ing raining all the time. And he still had knees.

Treblewide - 21 Oct 2009 05:30 - 557 of 1154

i hold similar views on rangers and celtic........

and going by rangers performance tonight...someone turn the lights out on scottish football

ps i thank england for the invention of slavery, morris dancing, football hooliganism and consitutionalised rape...so no biggy on yer comment above

tabasco - 21 Oct 2009 07:29 - 558 of 1154

Trigat least I found something in Scotland that I loveas well as family and friends of courseFrankie Boyleforget footballhe has the greater powerhe makes us laugh!and whats up with Morris Dancing?

required field - 21 Oct 2009 11:36 - 559 of 1154

Well done Jenson Button...and the Brawn team...and Miss Tweddle for the gold medal...anyway back to the soccer and what's happening to Liverpool ?....I thought they were going to take the season by storm....I think our best bet is now with the Gunners in the Champions league ....Chelsea are going through a bad patch as well.

tabasco - 21 Oct 2009 11:40 - 560 of 1154

Trigthe way I see morris dancing is blokes and chicks dressing upmoving rhythmically together and using sticks for funI can think of worst things to do.
watching the Accies?.

required field - 21 Oct 2009 11:42 - 561 of 1154

Tabasco : do you have 2 subscriptions and talk to yourself ?, perhaps treblewide is a doppelganger !.

tabasco - 21 Oct 2009 11:53 - 562 of 1154

Three....RFto be honest you started the silly talk suggesting Michel Owen for Englanddoppelganger trig ghosting in from the wing would even be a better betbeing Scottish he would definitely missbut he would miss closer than Owen!

tabasco - 21 Oct 2009 11:58 - 563 of 1154

Owen is a super striker from five yardsbut so is a beach ball..

required field - 21 Oct 2009 12:04 - 564 of 1154

I would like Joe Cole back in midfield....is he still injured ?....without him England are never as good as they could be...I think that England's biggest problem is to get all the players fit and up for the next world cup, we don't want a situation like in 2002 with everybody arriving tired at the finals or injured !...Scotland have to bring in some youngsters and learn how to defend...lot of passion in their game, but since the last outings in the previous European qualifiers they seem to be going backwards in terms of ability.

required field - 21 Oct 2009 12:05 - 565 of 1154

How about that goal that was awarded (hitting a beachball) ...crazy that ref and the linesmen...the game should have been stopped !.
