As far as the military are concerned, they do as ordered, but the Apache aircrews were not exactly short of balls either.

Depends what level of action you consider indefensible I suppose or what is unjustifiable, which of course depends on one's perspective.

As for moral philosphers in the forces, who knows, perhaps more than we think.
