ASOS: BUY AT LOW PRICE!!!! (ASC)

wilco99 - 12 Sep 2003 15:52

ASOS have dropped quite significantly in the past week for no particular reason and I view this as the perfect opportunity to invest as I can see them bouncing right back up to the 5.50p mark in the next 2-3 weeks. STRONG BUY!!

4170 - this is making me 1000 pts up on shares or about 31 % ... 17 mths of waiting in the deep red , at one point more than (-)60%..bloody hell to that..:-)..but buying more at lows was the play of the day.super happy now even without spread running to it.

jimmy b - 09 Apr 2015 13:50 - 5722 of 5941

cynics shorting it all the way back to £70 !!

cynic - 09 Apr 2015 14:08 - 5723 of 5941

i'll short it for as long as i feel like it, and perhaps even add to that position .... a real marmite stock

tomasz - 09 Apr 2015 14:44 - 5724 of 5941

jimmy b , not so far away one of the cynics expert-antics was shorting some 18's level , as aparently no mention of closing it since you can assume hes still running it, so think hes doubling it at 39's ...lol !

jimmy b - 09 Apr 2015 16:03 - 5725 of 5941

Glad you got your money back and made a profit tomasz but can't understand why it keeps going up ,the other day i read it was on something like 92 times earnings !!

tomasz - 10 Apr 2015 09:13 - 5726 of 5941

this thing can trade up to PE 162 and there is a massive gap up to 4482 that traders want to close to check if there are sellers willing to sell much stuff there. as soon as it started trading above 38.2% fib retracement ( 3804 ), it become not weak anymore so I can assume traders are encouraged by that and willing to close that gap. now, do they will be able to close it is totally different story... surely the big seller is no earlier than there. will he show up earlier ? I don't know yet.

cynic - 17 Apr 2015 13:24 - 5727 of 5941

severe danger of my little short turning blue again

hey jimmy, what was that you were saying about sp chugging back up to £70? :-))

jimmy b - 17 Apr 2015 16:23 - 5728 of 5941

I said you were shorting it all the way to £70 :) , i can't see for the life of me why it kept going up ,however it seemed to have momentum .

cynic - 17 Apr 2015 16:27 - 5729 of 5941

it truly is a nuts share and though one shouldn't piss against the wind, eventually the light dawns and everyone runs for the doors .... as always, the difficulty is to know when

jimmy b - 17 Apr 2015 16:33 - 5730 of 5941

You could keep your short running but whatever you are per point this can move fiercely .Few hundred points per day sometimes , although that goes both ways .

cynic - 17 Apr 2015 16:35 - 5731 of 5941

it's genuinely just a small (and stupid!) position, though there was a decent profit to be taken about a week ago

in all honesty, i think the markets are heading for a serious correction, for all sorts of obvious reasons ...... USA may be getting that ball rolling this evening

jimmy b - 17 Apr 2015 16:37 - 5732 of 5941

I think so too ,sitting on my hands at the moment ready to pounce when we wobble .

cynic - 17 Apr 2015 19:11 - 5733 of 5941

how much of a wobble would you like?
Dow currently down 350 - it was down only 330 less than 5 minutes ago!

jimmy b - 18 Apr 2015 13:48 - 5734 of 5941

A proper wobble ,a whole weeks worth ,don't worry it's coming .

cynic - 22 Apr 2015 09:39 - 5735 of 5941

.

cynic - 22 Apr 2015 09:39 - 5736 of 5941

chuckle chuckle ....... so now my silly little position is showing a modest profit ...... perhaps from little acorns etc :-)

tomasz - 22 Apr 2015 10:43 - 5737 of 5941

Just a little argument position for a moment thanks to fluctuations, not real position, dont be silly.

tomasz - 23 Apr 2015 20:09 - 5738 of 5941

just reading about this poor 'flash crash' trader apparently facing 380 years in prison for doing what was at that time not illegal... what a pile of shit about it all , typical scapegoat for authorities incompetence.
they say he made 1m that plunge day , what a rubbish .. there are a lot lot more traders who made 10's of millions that day and they are all right without question... pile of crap..

cynic - 26 Apr 2015 15:47 - 5739 of 5941

ASOS
ST "Inside the City" joins the league of those who rate ASC as a SELL

just a tiny snippet from the article .....
".... having to invest heavily in warehouses and deep discounts to establish beachheads in new markets. Growth is getting harder and more expensive ..... Asos just doesn't catch the eye like it used to. SELL"

cynic - 29 Apr 2015 11:44 - 5740 of 5941

do i see a further touch of "glug"?

what are we bid here?
do i hear £70 from the floor? ..... no; well what about £60 or £50? ..... no interest there ..... let's try £40 .... just some nervous twitching in the front row there ..... now i see why; sp has just nudged south through 25 dma albeit on pretty pathetic volume
