How would you like to trade a market where you get large regular price swings every 10 minutes in the afternoon, seven days a week. A
market where all prices are set purely by supply and demand, few transaction costs, no middle men and you only pay commission if you win? Where you can freely act as a market maker and where you have direct market access and where you can create a spread for others to take?
Betfair has revolutionised the betting market and created an open platform for exchanging risk on sports events. This market is now viewed much more like a traditional financial risk market than an old fashioned betting market. Smart users have realised that there are huge opportunities on Betfair because they can buy and sell risk in much the same way they would in a normal financial market but without the burden of cost or the restricted access that is usually associated with traditional financial markets.

John
have turned betfair off - my head is shot to pieces - had a fair afternoon on the rugby union but took a hit on the league. Been looking at the golf stats for tonight and cant work out whether there is any value in Woods so have given up!!!
Have checked the diary and am ok for the 9th December so have pencilled it in

Tomorrow should be a good day for trading the horses - a good card at Cheltenham and also some good Irish racing at Navan including Moscow Flyers seasonal return - should be plenty of volume about.
Edward (compoundup) - with regard to Trabolgan, it appears he is not going to run in the betfair chase next week due to the ground being too soft and is going to be aimed straight at the Hennesy (where he should have a cracking chance)
"Adding that Fulke Walwyn Kim Muir Chase winner Juveigneur would not go to Newbury, Henderson - who hopes stable jockey Mick Fitzgerald will be fit to take the mount - said: "Trabolgan will go to Newbury.
We couldn't get Juveigneur ready to run in the Hennessy first time, but Trabolgan will get himself ready and will be ready. The ground at Haydock could be soft or heavy, which wouldn't suit him, and the Hennessy looks like his one opportunity of running in a handicap, although of course if he gets beat he might only have 10st 7lb somewhere next time!"

Hi Scrip, It was great meeting you again on Fri.
Missed out on all the sports action yesterday as out of town but just made up for it by grabbing over 50 ticks on the Stockport/Barnet game and now nicely green.

Done my only trade on the footy earlier and netted a modest profit but will keep an eye out for whats available later

It was great meeting you John and Steve again and Edward. Great to get together we should do it all more often. I'll see if I can get another visit in before the year is out.

Been out the last couple of days so not much trading.
Good to see everyone profitting but unusually not much to trade this evening. Not even any Spanish football.

Morning Woodie
Yep - been up since the start. To be honest wouldnt even contemplate laying England. They look set for a big lead and Pakistan would need to bat 5 sessions on a deteriorating pitch to save the game and on the evidence they have displayed so far i would be very surprised if they have the discipline to do so. To be honest, cant see much trading left in the game apart from lumping on England and then collecting in a few days time.

Also,
dont think the price will go below 1.33 before Pakistan bat again - would expect the draw to remain the same till then and pakistans price to grow and grow
