required field - 14 Jul 2010 13:55

It is now time to switch to a new Money AM football blog as the world cup is now over and we all look to the future.....World cup 2010 is over, Bravo Espana, and Forlan, once again and bring on the new season !.....I never expected the last thread to be such a success...thanks all.... so this new one might go on for years without the need to edit the title...we shall see...

This is a Football Tread RF and not a soccer one.. this is not gun nutter land.

Claret Dragon - 21 Aug 2017 08:12 - 5749 of 6918

Another bad start.

When I was a kid the term "soccer" was used all the time !.....

iturama - 21 Aug 2017 10:41 - 5751 of 6918

Just Stan being pedantic. Soccer was the official magazine of the Football Players Union in the 40s. I reckon they knew what it meant.
World Soccer is Britain's longest running football magazine.

IT is just being the usual board bore, the history has nothing to do with it.

The word soccer has and is now associated with gun nutter land (and all that goes on in that mess of a country) and for that reason is an inappropriate word to describe "Football" which is and has been the correct word...only urgumental bods like some of you lot would disagree.

This is Stan on the flybridge leaving you to discuss it amongst yourselves 🙂

iturama - 21 Aug 2017 11:16 - 5753 of 6918

No need to jump off it Stan. You could always move from Burnley and improve your life. ;)

Stan - 21 Aug 2017 11:26 - 5754 of 6918

How many more times IT, I don't live there... your dementia is getting worst 🤣

Might be getting a base near you in Liverpool though.

Chris Wood: Burnley sign Leeds United striker for club record fee.

Not sure this is a good signing:

Could get a dozen a season at Prem Level

Stan - 21 Aug 2017 18:26 - 5757 of 6918

Suppose so but not sure what he offers that Volks and Barnes don't, time will tell.

Chris Carson - 21 Aug 2017 21:59 - 5758 of 6918

Unlucky Everton!! But hey, would have taken that result at 8pm, some team City :0)

Claret Dragon - 22 Aug 2017 07:17 - 5759 of 6918

Mr Madeley is not very good.

iturama - 22 Aug 2017 08:07 - 5760 of 6918

Good soccer game....I always expect the blues to do well against City. Been the case for years. Irony was that it was Sterling that scored the equaliser, 99 times out of a 100 he will fluff it.

Stan - 24 Aug 2017 06:35 - 5761 of 6918

Burnley Reserves scored twice before the break to ease 0-2 into the EFL Cup third round with victory over their Lancashire 3rd Division rivals Blackburn Rovers at Ewood Park last night.

Burnley reserves now meet "Dirty" Leeds in the next round at the Fortress.

Joe Say - 24 Aug 2017 07:47 - 5762 of 6918

Come on Burnley

iturama - 24 Aug 2017 09:18 - 5763 of 6918

The Fortress. So who left the drawbridge down and allowed Pulis in? Was that you Stanley?

Stan - 24 Aug 2017 09:29 - 5764 of 6918

Irrelevant IT as I said before the match, WBA are our bogey team like all teams have...please keep up.

iturama - 24 Aug 2017 09:45 - 5765 of 6918

OK, but deep down Stanley is hurting.

iturama - 24 Aug 2017 21:59 - 5766 of 6918

Great first goal by Sigurdsson. I thought Everton played within themselves tonight.

Stan - 24 Aug 2017 22:04 - 5767 of 6918

Who or what are Everton?
