Thought Id start this one going because its rather dead on this board at the moment and I suppose all my usual muckers are either at the Stella tennis event watching Dim Tim (lose again) or at Henly Regatta eating cucumber sandwiches (they wish,...NOT).
Anyway please feel free to just talk to yourself blast away and let it go on any company or subject you wish. Just wish Id thought of this one before.
cheers GF.

Manuel,
Is that the article where he suggests Cameron is isolated in Europe and renegotiations aren't possible until 2019?

fred - read it properly and then, if you wish to report back, do so accurately without cherry-picking the bits that suit your personal agenda
for others - fred's comment above is an out-of-context "cherry-pick" as you might well have realised

Says it all really..
The president of the European Commission has ruled out any treaty negotiations on Britain’s relationship with Europe until two years after the referendum promised by David Cameron yesterday.
In comments that will infuriate the prime minister, sources close to Jean-Claude Juncker told The Times that there was no prospect of formal plans for treaty change until the end of 2019 at the earliest, with negotiations beginning the following year.

Max - you too can report accurately as to what the leader actually says ..... and i have it in front of me as i write!
if the article was indeed as you and fred like to portray, ask yourself why the headline would be "Juncker's Bunkum"
with some justification, one could transpose what you wrote - "says it all really ...."

It is Juncker's Bunkum partly because it is not his decision. All he is giving is an opinion.

Leaving the EU will NOT stop migration from the EU. If we are outside the EU then we will want a trade agreement with the EU. A condition of that is that we have to sign up to the free movement of people within the EU.
To get a trade agreement you have to sign up to the four freedoms (free movement of goods, persons, services and capital).

Now that is bunkum!
Do the €U trade with America? Do they tell the americans who and how many people they must take??

let me just post a small snipper from that leader ......
The Conservatives third pledge, to bring tougher rules on benefits for EU immigrants, can be enacted by rewriting the relevant directives. No treaty change would be required
whether or not UK could take the above initiative unilaterally, i do not know
if not, i wonder what would be required

America does not have a free trade agreement with the EU. They are subject to tariffs and import duties.

Max,
Any interpretation of events, whether is, present, or future not in concord with "cynic" wishes is denigrated or rejected by his "omniscient self".
The rejection of negotiation of "rules and regulations" in the EU when Cameron made the suggestion to "buy" off Fauxpage was muted at by Junker and other E U leaders months and months ago.
I believe, at the time, I posted suggesting it to be so.
