Please report bugs and enhancements (BUGS)

andy.lovell - 04 Nov 2002 11:26

If you're having any problems, or want to suggest some improvements, please post below!

Level2 changes
In the last few weeks we've needed to implement some code changes to make us compliant with the LSE's rules on the access of Level2 data.

The following requirement is now in place:
You can only use 1 program on 1 computer to access Level2 on MoneyAM using a single username.

This means that you are able to view as many Level2 windows using any one particular browser, or program, that you wish, however you will not be able to use both Firefox and Internet Explorer at the same time (the same goes for using Quote Tracker or TradeSeeker at the same time as viewing it using a web browser)

If you find you're being logged off of MoneyAM's Level2 with the message 'you've logged on from another location' then check the above and make sure you're not running any other programs at the same time before reporting this as a bug.

Pond,

YOu could try clearing out your cookeis to see if that makes a difference, or you may want to try installing the latest version of Java to make sure that is up to date.

If you need help with either of these, just drop me an E mail - ian@moneyam.com

MM - Thirded. Keep up the good work Ian. Much appreciated by me and most others no doubt.
Now do something about Tate's share price :-)

Seymour Clearly - 15 Jun 2007 17:29 - 5885 of 7315

Ian, not really a problem, more an observation. On the Traders thread, the FTSE/World indices and the % gainers/losers have blue or orange tabs. The active one is orange. However, all the other headers; AFX/RNS and Heatmap have blue headers. It would make more sense to me if all the active ones were blue where there was a choice, not orange. I'll post this on the Traders thread as well and see if we get any comments. Happy to be overruled on this though :-)

Oh, and can I fourth MM's comments.

All,

There would appear to be a widespread issue at the moment, with no pricing information being sent through. I have checked with several providers who are showing the same issues, and I am trying to find out further information, and will let you knwo when I have more.

Ian

EDIT: it would appear that this was due to scheduled maintenance by the LSE. All pricing should come through as normal from this point forward as new orders are entered into the system.

Ian - minor grumble - some charts e.g. TLW don't include current intraday prices. I've found this with a number of stocks on my watch list. They always used to. Is this a problem or a change?

IanT(MoneyAM) - 18 Jun 2007 08:58 - 5888 of 7315

Pond Life,

Can you make sure you have the plot intrday data box ticked please

Doh!!!!!

bhunt1910 - 18 Jun 2007 12:08 - 5890 of 7315

Ian - some of the blue and red arrows on level 2 are not showing the last movement - eg CHL - is there a problem or is it me not knowing how ro read the info ?

IanT(MoneyAM) - 18 Jun 2007 12:15 - 5891 of 7315

bhunt,

To be honest I am not sure - it may be that the MM's in question have just maintained their quote and not moved it up or down. I will find out and get back to you in due course,

Ian

bhunt1910 - 18 Jun 2007 12:48 - 5892 of 7315

MM<'s have definitely moved their quote - this share has moved up and down 20% today - and all MM's have participated - eg EVO moved up at 12.35 ( ithin it was up - but it definitely moved.

IanT(MoneyAM) - 18 Jun 2007 12:49 - 5893 of 7315

bhunt,

I will take a look at it,

Ian

The CAPE price on the monitor is showing the incorrect starting price of the day.

You are showing a fall from the float price of 240p, rather than the last trading price of 100p, I think!

IanT(MoneyAM) - 20 Jun 2007 12:14 - 5895 of 7315

Andy,

I will take a look,

Ian

IanT(MoneyAM) - 20 Jun 2007 12:19 - 5896 of 7315

Andy,

It would look like you are correct, after a temporary suspension, it has been re admitted and the price is being derived from the float price. I will report this to the feed supplier.

it is actually down 33.5 points on the day (I am sure you had proabably worked that out though :)

Thanks for bringing this to my attention.

Ian

Ian,

Pleasure.

I don't hold BTW, but CAPE is a story I have been following.

foale - 21 Jun 2007 07:28 - 5898 of 7315

stockwatch does not seem to be working

IanT(MoneyAM) - 21 Jun 2007 07:31 - 5899 of 7315

foale,

there is an issue since the change the LSE made last friday which is causing the prices not to show until the opening auction when they will then populate correctly. Are suppliers are looking into this for us and we hope to have news soon. All prices shoudl display correctly at 7.50am onwards

neil777 - 21 Jun 2007 15:34 - 5900 of 7315

Hi Ian just a small thing, the NMS is 0 on my L2 on all stocks.

IanT(MoneyAM) - 21 Jun 2007 15:37 - 5901 of 7315

Neil,

This has occured since the LSE made their upgrades last friday. essentially, NMS is being discontinued and the figure will be replaced by something which the LSE is calling EMS (Exchange Market Size). We are in discussions with our suppliers about a timescale for implementing this.
